Announcements/salients during the address:

The speech lasted for about 5 minutes. (6 minutes 49 seconds to be precise)

We are fighting this War for the survival of the Country.

We all have to fight it out together.

Construction of a cantonment in Swat (stepping on tail)

Increase in pay of the military.

War against terrorism to continue till all the f!lth is washed away.

This War has the support of Parliament and the Nation alike. All the Political Parties also supports the military operation.

The War against terror would continue till the last moment.

All the IDPs would be taken care of properly and would be sent back respectfully.

The Taliban wants to terrorize Pakistan and takeover its institutions.

Well he didnt do that exactly, but he made it amply clear that this War would continue till the aim is fully achieved, thereby leaving not much doubt about its expansion, as i foresee it.

With Mehsud's Taliban factions taking credit for the recent blasts at the PC Peshawar, Rescue 15 Lahore and Dr. Naeemi's killing, one would hope that no doubt whatsoever is left amongst Pakistanis over the necessity of expanding this war.

Even the conciliatory noises from the East suggest the formation of an atmosphere (albeit slowly) that would allow Pakistan to go full steam ahead with the war in the West.

We can just hope that these incidents instead of bogging down our morale (the Pubic) should act as a catalyst to boost the support for this operation which finally should be taken to furthest corner of the Country and the last freak kick out to hell!
