PDF, let's discuss this.
Time is what shapes people's legacies so it may be a bit early in the day to say how history will remember POTUS 44, Barack Obama, but what do you make of him ?
I'll copy/paste this from another post:
Suave, charming, a smooth talker, one of the great orators of our time (perhaps the best ever) and a historic figure for the times.. but he really made a mess of the world, him and crooked hillary. Thank god for presidential term limits in the US. As far as his legacy goes, there are 2 big 'legacy' bills he passed that he is most likely to be remembered for, both domestic and foreign policy wise, the healthcare bill in the US, and the Iran nuclear deal internationally.
I like that he pushed for and made the Iran deal in the face of a lot of opposition from the neocons and warmongers on the right in the US, I'll let the Americans on the forum comment on the healthcare stuff.
I also like that he went along with Putin's idea and made a deal to scrap all of Syria's chemical weapons stockpiles instead of bombing yet another country in the middle east after the Syrian army allegedly used chemical weapons and crossed that 'red line' he drew, and he has my respect for acknowledging his (and crooked hillary's) intervention in Libya as the 'worst mistake' of his presidency, not that it made it any better, but it still takes a big man to accept a huge mistake like that.
Overall, apart from him being (half) African, I don't think he did anything remarkable with all the power he had, great personality, bad job record.
