Presale of Lynk & Co 02 high-performance begins with price starting RMB160,000

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- The Lynk & Co 02 high-performance version's presale has officially started on March 1, only eight month after the Lynk & Co 02 hit the market. With 3 variants based on configurators, the new model is priced between RMB160,000 and RMB180,000.

Retaining the exterior design of the existing model, the high-performance version adopts a slender grille that is flanked by split-type headlights, rendering a more aggressive front fascia. Besides, the new model offers several new body color options, among which the eye-catching “energy purple” is particularly special.

The new vehicle is fitted with 19-inch five-spoke rims covered by Continental's run-flat tires, generating more visual impact than that of the Lynk & Co 02.

Under the hood, powering the vehicle is a Volvo Drive-E series' 2.0 TD engine that pumps out 190hp and 300N·m, hooked up to a 6-speed automatic transmission manufactured by Aisin. Besides, the high-performance version is equipped with 17 driver assistance systems, such as the adaptive cruise control system with automatic queueing function and the autonomous emergency braking system carrying the pedestrian recognition feature.

Geely reported that Lynk & Co brand sales in January soared 117.6% over a month ago to 12,588 units, among which the sales of the Lynk & Co 02 crossover SUV were 2,032 units.

BYD releases teaser photo of all-new SUV code-named SA2

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- BYD recently released a group of teaser photos of its all-new SUV code-named SA2, which will be added to the Dynasty series.

It is expected that the new SUV will retain BYD's iconic design language of “Dragon Face” for its front face. As to details, squarish headlights coupled with protruding lines on the engine hood deliver a sense of masculinity.

The powerful essence of the SUV's three-dimensional side profile is highlighted by sectional-type waist lines and fastback design.

The taillight cluster stretches the entire rear end, which is quite popular for today's rear lighting design. The design of four vertically slatted light bars on each side looks like a dragon's claw print, which is in tune with the “Dragon Face” concept.

Generally speaking, the all-new SUV model displays a striking resemblance to the BYD Dynasty Concept, the first masterpiece designed by the team headed by Wolfgang Egger, former Audi Group head designer.

The new vehicle's power details have not been exposed yet. According to BYD's sales report, it sold 5,889 fuel-burning SUVs in January with a year-on-year drop of 22.37%. The launch of the SA2 is expected to enrich the company SUV lineup and boost the overall sales in the future.
