I think it's a landmark move by the SC.Everyone has their right to live with anybody they like,since they are not bothering others it's not an offense.I hope this becomes a law

Pre-marital sex is only an offence in theocracy's such as Saudi Arabia.

However, I do not know if it is illegal in Pakistan, even if it is, the government definitely doesn't have to enforce it, because PARENTS do.

Pre-marital sex is a crime in many countries, which follows many ideologies. But in muslim countries its extra-marital sex that is considered a crime, and pre-marital is a sub type of it.[hope i am not confusing you].

It was easier to preserve virginity in the earlier times because people used to marry at a young age. Now days for several reasons including professional commitment people are unable to marry before they are 26-28 ..Have you heard the old saying, "If you don't use it, you lose it."

If a couple wants to have pre-marital sex, they can do so as long as they have crossed the legal age requirement.

Does this law still exist ? ..and what is the normal judiciary system ?

I find it hard to believe that a traumatized rape victim would go searching for 4 witnesses and then make them appear in court.
So is it okay even if the witnesses are Christians or Hindus ?

It is not the case in Pakistan. Anybody can register an appeal without 4 witnesses. This is just a rumour (as far as i know)

Thanks for your concerns. Our government provides us free condoms.

Premartial sex was never a legal offence anyways. It might have been in the law but it was not implemented. Even prostitution is illegal but we still have prostitutes. Same is the case with Pakistan.

Premartial Sex is also legal in Russia and Japan ...and these countries have low birth rates.

I believe that this is a positive step. What we need more than anything else is Education and we're working on it
