There are 2 types of taliban.
Pakistani taliban
Afghan taliban.
If after 9/11, we stayed neutral like Iran, didn't allow drone attacks, didn't do any operation and hand over people, then no Pakistani taliban exists today and Pakistan has not suffered terrorism or loss to the economy.
Imran always take a stand against the army to allow operations in Pakistan or give our basis to Americans. He was pointing out the root cause from the start....
But later after they become menace and are uncomfortable, everyone including Imran Khan supported the operation of pak army.
Only thing he points out is why they are created and how this fiasco should be avoided if they listen to Imran Khan.
Secondly afghan taliban, didn't attack Pakistan.
They are Afghanistan internal problem, not ours. They have office in Qatar. Afghan government was begging daily for peace talks. Every day they are conquering a new city or district. They control or influence 70 percent Afghanistan. We cannot make such deadly force our enemy.
If nato forces cannot do anything to them, why would we do and make them our enemy. So now they are blowing Afghanistan, but then they would start blowing Pakistan too.
Everyone from Pakistan say the solution to Afghan problem is dialog.
Why if Imran say this, and people like you roll on fire (mind you he meant Afghan taliban not Pakistan taliban).
Americans are begging for peace dialog. Ashraf ghani, Pakistani pm, everyone beg afghan dialog. But Imran khan say and people like you started barking.
It would be good if Afghans taliban can open office and solve the problem once and for all. But not anymore. The afghan government would use this negatively. So I ran dropped this demand in current situation as situation is changing day by day.
