Not sure what would happened tomorrow, but one thing is for sure, if one day US decided to go all out, head on with China, the magnitude of this two collide with each other would be a totally different story compared with his previous opponent from the east, e.g. Empire of Japan and no one can predict the outcome of the humanity.

America doesn’t go after worthy rivals. Never did against the soviets. Will not do against the Chinese. If anything I expect China to show force first

I think it will be economic collision and not military one. Economic collision between China and the USA is already ongoing. However, a cold war atmosphere will continue in the region encompassing China, Japan, North Korea, South Korea, Taiwan etc. whereby Russia is its only ally at least on paper.

The issues in this region cannot be resolved unless decided by another world war. In this cold war atmosphere America will remain supreme in this part of the world far away from its homeland. China cannot alter the geopolitics of the region with even a greater military presence.

Militarily, China will probably remain contained in its own landmass surrounded by other countries at the behest of America. However, days of political expansion is very limited in the 21st century unlike it was in the old world.

we used to stand on the summit. sometimes also falls at the bottom. this is the world power all will experience.
