Here in North Africa, we are always in underproduction, the quality we import mainly from Egypt is awful.

Exporting potato on short notice will be difficult. There is no shortage in international market.

IMO, only part of your statement is correct. In ME the supply of vegetables/fruits is a seesaw ride spanning the year as it depends upon supply from foreign countries like China/India/Turkey/Europe/Pakistan.
