The Haqqanis, Osama bin Laden, Mullah Omar, Hekmatyar were all part of the Mujahideen as well. The Taliban did not resort to suicide bombings either pre 2001, even though they were brutal. The Taliban were brought into power by the Afghan people, who were tired of the corrupt warlords, the same people the Afghan people are tired of today. Even though the Taliban are cold blooded & cruel, & resort to violence against innocent civilians, in the eyes of the Afghan people, they are their own people. The foreign US/NATO Forces are not their own people. Unless the Afghan people stop letting other nations use their country as proxy land, & start assuming responsibility themselves, Afghanistan will always have huge problems. It is ethnic divisions, & this slave mentality in Afghanistan & in the Afghan people that is the root cause for all problems in Afghanistan. The foreign troops are seen as occupiers/invaders by many, & the rest of the Afghan people that don't see them that way are willing to let them use Afghanistan as proxy land, rather than assuming responsibility for themselves. They are too divided, & there is a lack of resolve in the Afghan people to solve their own problems.
