Police raid foreign NGO office working for CIA. 7 arrested

KARACHI: Police on Wednesday noon raided an office of US-based non-governmental organization (NGO) in the city and arrested seven staff members, ARY News reported.

The office of the NGO was located in building named ‘Horizon Tower’ in Clifton, where police personnel launched a raid and seized their equipments including laptops and nabbed seven staff members.

Sources told that the NGO was involved in digital mapping of sensitive installations of Karachi including PAF air base and nuclear plant.

The NGO named ‘IMap’ is run from Washington and police said it was operating illegally.

Police launched a clampdown after directives from the Sindh government.

The interior ministry in 2011 had banned the same NGO and disallowed it from its activities including digital mapping. However, recently it again started undertaking such practices despite orders of the government.

Good work.....after seeing some "foreign NGOs" and what they did in Egypt during the revolution (doing more than just "NGO work") I think its important for Pakistan to be careful as well

I dont trust a lot of these foreign entities that claim to do one thing but really are just fronts for undesirable foreign activity

you can thank that traitor Hussain Haqqani.....i hope he has the GUTS to come back to Pakistan one day to answer to his crimes and treason. I'm sure he'll continue to hide like a mouse though.

This is what I kept talking about in the past, foreign spies disguised in NGO groups & this is a gift Pakistan is getting in the name of US aid program & Kerry Lugar bill. Ofcourse Pakistan today is filled with foreign spies disguised in various out fits & all of this was made possible thanks to PPP who had signed everything that was thrown in front of them by US & GOD knows how many under table deals were signed with US.

Raymond Davis, US officials visiting dangerous areas without any documentation & then few days later a terrorist attack in the same area were US officials were. In the recent raid Karachi Airport maps were also recovered, so there is nothing left to say who planned these attacks & GOD knows how more we will see in future.

The fact is after this NGO companies now should be SHUT DOWN completely from Pakistan, but it won't happen thanks to corrupt politicians who themselves are national security threat to Pakistan.
