Police in Melbourne hunt man over sexual assault on Caulfield bus

Police have released images of a man they want to question about a sexual assault on a rail replacement bus from the city to Caulfield in April.

A woman and her unknown male assailant boarded a replacement bus on Flinders Street near Federation Square, towards Caulfield, on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 16.

The man sat next to the woman on the bus and assaulted her during the trip, according to police, before they disembarked at Caulfield Railway Station about 6.25pm.

Investigators have released an image of the man, describing him as being of Indian appearance, 175cm tall, and having a thin build and black hair.

He was wearing rectangular glasses with a black thick frame, black pants, a black or dark grey knitted cardigan and a black backpack.

Investigators are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or was travelling on the bus at the time.

They urge anyone with any information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.

Dude, so someone I know who is from Pakistan here in Austin area was at this huge warehouse type stores buying items in bulk so it took him a bit longer than usual to check out. So , This ugly azz immigrant citizen of a county that will remain un-named cut his off and yelled at him add cut thru the check out line, He cursed him off and such on account of having their *** handed to them by PAF back home. He also threatened him and try to almost run him over in the parking lot. Guess what? This 6 foot tall retards is now in hospital with a busted eye, nose & face cuz he messed with the wrong guy. This person I know was visiting the place with his family yet this disgusting creature show no respect and paid a price for it. The whole thing was on video surveillance and also based on the account from witnesses who called the police, the retard is going to jail on a felony charge as well as a civil suit for causing trauma & mental anguish. This happened about 4 hours ago.
