Originally TB2 was like 50% Turkish and 1/3 of costs were from MX-15. If sanctions from Canada never happened they would still be using MX-15, Baykar only changed because they were forced to but CATS is inferior to MX-15 which is why they didn't voluntarily choose it.

2-- Turkey has started using indigenous Aselsan CATS E/O System on Bayraktar TB-2 UCAV instead of Canadian WESCAM

Aselsan CATS heavier than Canadian WESCAM
but Aselsan CATS has superior range ( 30 km ) to Canadian WESCAM
Turkish CATS is able to do this at a much greater distance than Canadian WESCAM in terms of laser marking and laser range finder

also Aselsan develops DASS which is superior to CATS

so Turkish TB-3 , ANKA-S , AKSUNGUR and AKINCI UCAVs will use indigenous CATS or DASS

Turkey doesnt need Canada
