What's new

Pmln injected 22 billion dollar into the open market to keep the Rs evaluation at 102

.
Dollars? That's a bold claim. Any source(s) to back up their claim?

.
Fck the Dollar has now reached Rs 143....what the heck is going on....everything is so expensive....blood sucking.

. .
What would public prefer ? A government which burns dollars to keep inflation in check or, one which lets inflation run amok ?

If you think burning dollars to keep inflation in check is a good thing then you are incredibly wrong... It is like putting a band-aid on a bullet wound.

The core problem of insufficient taxation, non promotion of tourism, declining exports was exacerbated during PML-N's tenure.

I manufacture and export goods globally, I know how difficult and stupid things were getting every year PMLN was in power.

the effect of this injection is somehow offset by importing oil and other products at low cost and decrease in repayment of debt.

It is not ideal decision but if you keep dollar high and not use reserves to keep it at low price but import oil and other products at high rate of dollar then you also lose more money due to decrease in rupee value and damage in investor confidence and low demand of rupee in market.

if our is strong economy and is in good condition and industry is strong like in china and we domestically produce many items then this policy of current govt for keeping dollar high would be excellent but unfortunately we lack domestic production of many items and have to rely on imports

that is the key. our exports in 2007 were about $19 billion and in 2017 they were $25 billion. An increase of 5 billion in 10 years. This is where the problem lies.

The previous governments have been using loans to provide subsidies with no money being spend on development of industries which meant our economic activity was stagnate when the world was moving forward fast.

I am also equally disappointed with Asad Umar as well and I think its about time we replace him and bring in someone who is hard hitting.

The fact that he cannot increase our tax base when it is staring him in the face is big incompetency on his part and now him possibly bringing in amnesty is just a shame. Abolish FBR and create new tax collection agency and force everyone into tax net.

To be honest, during our elections, I only voted for PTI due to Asad Umar. Now It is looking like he hasn't really got a firm grasp of the situation.

one more thing I forgot to mention was non existence of proper financial entity similar to paypal and I just don't understand how difficult it is to develop your own if paypal is not responding. Asad Umar himself has said he wanted Paypal in 3 months and its been 9 months and no sign of it. This one thing is strangling out technology export where as Bangladesh and India and other countries are taking massive benefit of free lancer work.

i have seen this first hand as many of our clients are having to use overseas shell companies to collect payment and than transfer that payment to Pakistan. This is exposing them to double taxation risks and other financial risks. Similarly the buyers want easy payment methods.

I always keep open mind as to whom I will vote for, but sadly we OSP dont have voting right. The problem that exist is that we have no leader of calibre of IK at this moment so there really isnt much of choice as to whom you want in.

however, IK's team is entirely a different matter altogether and that is where our problem lies. But at the same time we have to be mindful he is in coalition at this moment, unless he had strong votes and majority government the things could have been different. If things dont change he must call new elections and let people decide what kind of government he wants.

as for Asad Omar, I am personally disappointed and i do not believe he is right person for the job. He must be removed ASAP and someone with proper vision has to be brought in. We need to tackle the economy on war footings.

Murad Saeed is doing good in his portfolio but he is not a finance minister material.

This is something I have spoken to many people before even PTI cam into power. We have people who are without any vision. Government can invest in this by offering investment to company who would create a similar system.

Creation of system is no rocket science.

Watch the 1992 WC final
Nah in patwaristan it is Calibri queen.
