PM Nawaz to be presented gold crown in Hyderabad

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will be presented a five-tola gold crown upon arrival in Hyderabad today.

The premier is set to visit Hyderabad to address a public gathering, following which he will be presented the gold crown by Qasimabad Business Forum, senior PML-N leader Shah Mohammad Shah told The Express Tribune.

“The crown weighs five tolas,” Qasimabad Business Forum President Rehmatullah said.

Earlier on Sunday, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Sharjeel Inam Memon was presented a gold crown by party members in Hyderabad. The leader was visiting the city for a public gathering.

According to Radio Pakistan, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Rahila Magsi said the prime minister, on his visit to the Sindh city, will also hold meetings with party leaders and workers.

A delegation of the Hyderabad’s business community, including chamber of commerce, and farmers of the province will also call on the premier.

For PM, offence is the best defence

Magsi said the PM may announce a federal university, establishment of a 1,000-bed hospital, as well as a special development package for the city.

According to sources, the PM has been advised by party leaders to live up to his earlier pledges of turning the focus to Sindh in order to change the perception that PML-N’s politics was Punjab-centric.
