Varanasi:
On the second day of his visit to his Lok Sabha constituency of Varanasi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Assi Ghat, where he offered prayers and later joined a clean up drive.

The PM reaffirmed his commitment to cleaning up the Ganga after taking up the initiative himself. He took part in a clean up drive to raise awareness.
"I have started cleaning up today in the area to infuse enthusiasm and inspiration among others to take up the drive," Modi said while addressing media personnel close to the ghat.

The PM also said that he has been assured that within a month this ghat will be cleaned. As a part of his Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, the PM also nominated nine others to further the campaign. He nominated Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, actor/politician Manoj Tiwari, writer Manu Sharma, cricketer Mohammed Kaif and Suresh Raina, comedian Raju Shrivastava, and singer Kailash Kher, Vice Chancellor of Chitrakoot University Ram Bhadracharya, and Padmashree Professor Devi Prasad Dwivedi.

The PM also visited the Mata Amritanandmayi Hospital after this. On Friday, Modi addressed villagers in Jayapur - which he has adopted under the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana.

Somehow...Modi is setting the label of being a Prime Minister of India to a different higher level...So it will be touch and challenging for any person who will ultimately replace him one point of time...Because most of our inherited leaders does not have roots to the ground who will be doing such kind of work as well as initiatives...
