IK has outclassed opposition and establishment. Even establishment was not aware of this move. But the question still remains. Will the establishment allow IK to come to power again by allowing fair election. The same establishment which was behind this political mess.

Its high time that IK should start contemplating his next ticket holders. As one way or the other matter is going towards new elections.

You would think they would support and celebrate a democratically elected PM with a history of building cancer hospitals, universities and planting trees. They give each other the nobel "peace prize" after doing drone strikes on weddings and killing children. Bizarre. IK has shown them the mirror and they are starting to behave like the Indian media.

Even if SC takes up the petition, the judgement wouldn't come that quick. It will take a month or so.

So, if the judgment comes that late, and in the end turns out it throws away this whole process, then how will the happenings of the past month be reversed? It isn't practical to undo this whole process.

Better to just have elections.

Courts usually do not ignore public sentiments in such matters - public sentiment is overwhelmingly with IK

Army still has a role to play - army can provide the spine and power to SC, if SC wants to restore the National assembly and undo the ruling.

SC has enormous powers. It can undo the ruling, restore assembly with immediate effect; and then starts the hearing of the case.

It is a technical issue now, a matter of interpretation. Speaker and Deputy speaker ruling + NA proceedings cannot be challenged in SC. The court can only look if the proceedings were done appropriately.

True. But as of now there is no power show. IK will have to build that pressure. We are in it for long haul. SC will definitely try to drag it on and benefit the opposition and IK will have to pressurize them.

What do you think the power show in Islamabad was all about? As of now is irrelevant.

One call by IK is all it would take .. if huge crowds gather demanding elections, military and SC won't come in the way.

SC can't set aside Speaker's ruling,period.The larger bench may give some nasty remarks as a consolation to the bar council but by and large, early elections scenario won't be reversed.The pinch for opposition is, bohut bura bouncer mara hai Khan ne aur phir innings declare kardi, kuch karne he nahin diya in becharon ko.

It's not a technical issue anymore. I would be surprised if SC suspends the ruling of speaker without looking at the evidence that was the basis of speaker's ruling.
