Thats BS. Both countries will have to remove troops as per UN resolution 1980. To much time have passed since 1948 to allow Indian army to hold election lol

you miss the bigger picture perhaps on purpose. Pakistan & China have dictated to the world that india's sovereignty over kashmir & ladhak does not exist & her act of annexing anything is illegal & shall be treated as such. the fact that indian army has to throw women of the loc frontlines should be a very strong indicator regarding how desperate & overstretched the indian army is getting especially it was barely 2 years ago when general bipin of openly said that women aren't going to be sent to the frontlines on account of not being capable of combat. and yet, here we are, the same indian general bipin rawat now a joint chief sitting above in command of all the three branches, ordering those same women incapable of combat to be thrown to the frontlines in sheer desperation to hold on to remained threads of a shredded annexation. very bad days for india only to get worse. definitely not a good time to be in the indian armed forces at all.
