PM Imran appreciates military's 'voluntary' cuts in defence expenditures

Army can NOT be the savior, the Government has to be the savior otherwise people start trusting the Army more than the Government which in turn give Army the leverage they require to topple elected Governments......whenever they want.

Army is also part of government
Government is nothing without institutions

Any body here who still criticize on Pak Army budget ?
Inshallah Pakistan will get better economy in Current tenure.

We should not leave any single corrupt now on the face of Pakistan Because of corrupt mafia we are here today & and our army tolerating (unwarranted insult, propaganda & now defence cuts) for the country. It is too risky despite having many enemies. If Anything go wrong all those criticized army will be responsible.

Yes, it is easy to agree when there is no other choice.
Shut your mouth you rascal. You better be a USA citizens & don't poke your nose in the matter of Pakistan. You people have nothing to do with Pakistan.

i think ik has agreed imf conditions to restrict our nuclear program and accept indian dominance in the region.
And you think IK is so strong that he can just do that without anyone raising as much as an eyebrow? :disagree:

Seriously yar kabbi apna damag ka istmaal be ker lia kero.

LOL funny coming from a PPP or PML-N supporter. You keep giving votes to the same family, they are all tried and tested. Sorry to say laikin Maryam ka baap ka mulk hai? I don't think so.

Are you against two party system? I think what we really need is free and fair accountability. Americans voted for Trump for a reason, he is business man and he can fix economy. Today Mr Trump have managed to squeeze Billions of Dollars from China and other states. Look at Indians despite Gujrat massacre and corruption Modi became PM for second time. Why? coz continuity of economic policies is vital for gdp growth.
You rooting for someone who’s expertise exist only in begging since 1992. Today we are failed and beggar state, big thanks to Umpires and their Khaptaan. I would say otherwise and trust his leadership, if he is surrounded by good team. Struggle of 22 years, yet not a single genuine PTI person to occupy posts of FM, Finance, and defence ministry.

PM is on board man - Civil & Military leadership are on same page and working in Sync.....you should have noticed that by now. only thing that is not in sync is few sections of the bureaucracy and they need to be taken care of asap

My biggest dream is for government to cut bureaucracy by 80%
These people add no value to anyone. they are just leeches that suck the blood of the nation.

Pakistanis are like an abusive husband who is never happy with the wife no matter what she does to please him. Always find fault never a simple "thank you"!.

Indian fake media busy spinning on our internal def budgeting choice.Don’t forget,we were the same forces with same budget on 27 Feb 19. We hv the capability & capacity to respond. Remember, it’s not budgeting, it’s resolve of force & the nation firmly standing behind its forces.

IMF is ensuring the compliance this time ...It seems...

The deal is still not yet signed. Compliance through the life of the program will still be a huge issue given the situation. This move looks good for now.

first punish the culprits for bringing the country to this point and bring back the looted money and then ask for sacrifices from those who are already sacrificing. i am sure IK will also put income tax on the salaried class and punish them for paying their share of taxes. the next budget will define whether people will support the opposition in march against government or not. the nation is paying tax on almost every item they buy from the market. where the hell that money is going???

“Irrespective of the voluntary cut in defence budget coming financial year (FY), there shall be no impact on our response potential to all types of threat and quality of life of the soldiers. The no pay raise decision is also only for the officers and not for the soldiers. We shall manage the shortfall during the FY by tightening our belt in areas where it doesn’t effect the two aforesaid aspects”, COAS concluded.

after reading the comments of the readers on dawn i came to understand that during any next future india-pak escalation the nation will expect and demand PAF pilots to bring down rafale while flying an obsolete mirage jet and if they show any weakness in response like the one on 26 they will be taken to task and abused openly in the media.
