Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday said a group of political parties joined hands with the BNP-Jamaat alliance to try to unseat her government and return the country to an era of darkness.
“Mr Manna, Dr Kamal Hossain, Communist Party, left-leaning parties are now tagged with the BNP-Jamaat alliance for forging movement to oust the Awami League government,” she said.

Sheikh Hasina, also the president of the ruling party Awami League, was speaking at the opening of a weeklong program marking the Golden Jubilee of Bangladesh Krishak League, an associate body of the party.

The program was held at Krishibid Institution while the prime minister joined it virtually from her official residence Ganabhaban.

“What is their motive to oust the government?”, she asked. “(It is just) to deprive the people of all the facilities that are being given by the government,” she said.

The premier said that there are some political leaders in the country who never remain beside the people during any crisis, but are busy talking about the movement for ousting the Awami League government.

“What is the fault of Awami League government? Why do they want to oust it?” she wondered.
Sheikh Hasina said people voted Awami League to power in 2008 national polls in support of the party’s election manifesto.

“In that manifesto, we had declared Vision 2021. I am expressing my gratitude towards the people of the country for electing us repeatedly,” she said.

Hasina out or no out, the politicians must arrange for a fair election. Let people decide who would be the next ruling party or there will be a coalition govt.

Im not against you and your rule madam. Im against the way you have grabbed the ruling power and holding on it.

And, you haven't done anything exceptional to fuel Bangladeshs growth. Bangladesh still is a very corrupt country starting from you (yep, I know how you and your sister make money and hide it). Bangladesh is growing because,

1. Political Stability. ( You bought it by exterminating almost all opposition )
2. Continuation of Saifur Rahmans economic model. (creating as much low skill jobs as possible like ready made garments and exporting labor for remittance)
3. Public Spending. (with foreign debt)
4. Crony Capitalism. ( increases wealth gap but it does fuel economic growth )

Currently you're the lesser evil. Thats why I don't mind your rule. But, keeping your mouth shut would be nice...

Those who want Hasina out, BAL out... Petty party politics and hartals in, are the true enemies of this country.
As long as Hasina is able to rule , she should rule.

But after her retirement, we will find either national unity govt or presidential system.

We surley don't want family dynasty. And in South Asia, parliamentary system are useless and primary weapon for family dynasty.

We already see in Pakistan.

(Doesn't matter how bad BJP is , at least India ended their family dynasty of Congress.

I hope Indians will later through out Hindutva BJP and will find better party/people to rule them.

Mamata banarjee maybe a good choice for them.)

Personally I want iron leadership in Bangladesh even after Hasina , but if its not possible ( following Chinese model) , then presidential form maybe helpful for us.

In a country of illiterates and as you self claimed «superstitous» and «backward» people. Why would you want democracy? Lets face it, in a given free and fair election without intidation from goons, it is likely that Jamat would win many more seats.

I thought you were against people who wants to live like 6th century? Make up your mind.

Btw how can a illiterate and poor at all know how to best rule a country? Know who is the best candidate to rule or is the most competent. You are essentially asking a rikshaw driver to vote who is the best to lead a multinational automobile factory.

Democracy western style never worked in a poor uneducated society and never will. Democracy is a emergent phenomenon.

Please stop writing stupid things. There is no lame excuses to deny voting right/ democracy to a country's population. But, what happened to all you BAL guys? Are you worried BAL party will lose its majority in the Parliament.

But, stop trying midnight voter box stuffing with ballot papers by the BAL cronies. Contest in a fair election and win all the seats. No one will have any objections.

If there is no agreement on the CTG or Interim govt, it is possible that the next election will be held under the UN supervision. Brace for it.

Why you are becoming apologetic? For him every single individual is a BAL brat who slightly oppose him!

So my friendly suggestion is , don't bother paying attention!

He doesn't know the ABC of a serious discussion!

Don't invent things that I did not say in my earlier post. But, I said there must be a fair election this time. Let BAL come or go down does not matter.

And stop your ignorant and stupid bla, bla, bla-------. People unable to counter a point or lose a debate start making personal attacks. Many of the BAL cronies have been doing so.

You are no different. Study hard and come with proper answers. But, expand knowledge in various fields to counter what I say. Now, say something about the coming general election.

Hasn’t her rule enlarged the GDP, even at times surpassing Pakistan GDP?

Im no fan of Hasina and her daddy issues.

But there is no denying the fact that BD economy really took off after she took over.
BNP and its allied never really had a long term strategy for Bangladesh development. Atleast Hasina has plans. She has the power and authority to get things done, make tough descisions.

For my part, i would like a technocratic government that is there on merit.
