KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi met Pakistan Muslim League- Functional chief Pir Pagara here on Saturday.

Pir Pagara assured the PTI leader of his support during election. It is to mention here that Qureshi has submitted his nomination papers for National Assembly seats from Umar Kot and Thar Parkar in Sindh.

Speaking to media after the meeting, Pir Pagara demanded that all the defaulters should be arrested. He prayed for the holding of general election on time and said time was short for the scrutiny of candidates.

He said that Punjab chief secretary was replaced but the top bureaucrat was still not changed in Sindh.

Speaking on the occasion, Shah Mehmood said that the rulers were not able to go the court of people as the Pakistan People’s Party was no more an ideological party. He said that the original PPP was sleeping in Naudero.

Qureshi said that there was no provision in the Constitution to delay the election.

Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Saturday speculation regarding his alleged plans of contesting elections in Sindh as an independent candidate.

“This is nonsense,” the PTI leader told Dawn.com over telephone. “I am an elected vice chairman from PTI, and I would never contest elections independently.”

The buzz started on social media after Qureshi met with Pakistan Muslim League – Functional (PML-F) chief Pir Sibgatullah Rashididi (Pir Pagara) in the afternoon.

The PTI leader is slated to contest elections from Umar Kot and Tharparkar in Sindh.

As PTI supporter i dont like Pir Pagara. First they made deal with PML.N and now PTI. PTI has totaly denied any alliance with PML.F

You know what Havi Im from the same town, His ancestral village where his predecessor was buried! These guys are called Shahs and they have looted poor people of that town to the core!! That town of our has five or More Big Palaces where each of his brothers and sisters reside! They are big Thugs! Total corrupt and gunda gardi is their main profession!
