well that long handle is going to have effect on falcons agility in air on which falcon always relied on not a good option looks ugly too

.

the refueling probe is retractable.......after refueling it will fit back in the CFT unlike in a Rafale.......

As is all too often the case ill informed commentators here pick and try to create fault where there is none...the refueling receptical "restracts" back into the Pakistani fighter and thus does not interfere in it's flight operations nor the plane's maneuverability.

QUESTION: As Pakistan is a rather narrow nation without an apparent need for in flight refueling in country, what worldwide, such as UN, operations does the PAF forsee where such refueling capability would enhance both in another threater operations, as well as traveling to and from other theaters refueling needs?

I would appreciate a Pak military professional pilot or war plans officer's answers here.

Firstly the thread is titled UAE falcon fitted with probe and drouge NOT PAF F-16 and anyway this system was developed with India's collaboration (HAL) so the f-16 conforms with the IAF's MMRCA competition:

India-developed aerial refueling device

The only reason the UAE's F-16 was used was because the version they have (blk 52+/60) is the closest and most advanced version yet built so the closest to the version offered to India (blk 70 Super Viper) additionally Lockhead Martin chose to use one of the UAE's planes as a technology demonstrater because it was closer to India than US and made more economical sense rather than flying back and forth from US-India.

Secondly, the reason the PAF uses a2a refuelling is not really to do with range but more so to do with time-on-station. Think about it if a pair of PAF F-16s is flying a CAP over a Pakistani city it makes more sense to refuelled inflight rather than leave station and go to a base leaving their target vulnarable. It's better for the fuel to come to you than you to got to the fuel.
