it doesn't suppose to happen every other day.
btw birds dont usually fly at night.

it was an engine fire, flames were coming out of the aircraft. This is a very serious issue.

Aircraft was A310

Its PIA, this literally happens every other week, the 737's and a310's are the oldest in the world, what do you expect. They need replacements soon

negative, thats not how aviation works.
A310s are still being used by many airlines. Air Transat in Canada still uses them without having problems. Canadian Forces also uses them.
A couple of weeks back PIA B777 also had an engine problem, landed safely in Moscow.

Its PIA's maintenance. NOT even a few out of 21,000 employees are good enough to maintain numbered airworthy aircraft!
That's very bad and dangerous on every level!

a check on time and on time part change is must cutting corners for money is no no they are trying to save money on parts and line maintenance check

Who gonna want to fly PIA now after all that's happened?
Before these incidents they had a bad habit of replacing luggage and served Food.

On another note: I am happy to hear the people are ok. PIA should stop putting people's lives in danger.

Man! Why PM is waiting for so much long?

He should sell all the Financial institutions along with National Savings quickly.

Also sell 39% shares to any good bidder and 11% shares in Stock Markets of Pakistan of:
PIA
Railways
Steel Mills
HMC
and other mentioned corporations.

if it was a bird strike, then it was no one's fault.
but here's a thing, why were they using A310 for a short yet empty flight?

There were about 60 odd passengers, a 737 would've got the job done.
