The Hindus I refer to are the politicized Hindus of India. It's not a religious designation as much as it is a regional and cultural hegemonic entity. Nepalis and Sri Lankans as Hindus are more than friends. When we say Hindu in a negative regard, it automatically insinuates the fact that we are referring to Indians overall.
