Ex-president Pervez Musharraf says that there is no sign of democracy is the country which is passing through a critical period.
While addressing a press conference on Friday at Dubai, he said that he is standing with the people of Pakistan and can feel their sufferings and agonies which have made their lives full of miseries.
He said that it is duty of the people of Pakistan to shun away their communal difference and focus their attention for solution of problems.
He said that the he has no personal enmity with anybody; rather his mission is to give salvation to the people of Pakistan.
He said that after ousting of NATO alliance from Afghanistan in 2014, Pakistan is likely to come under spell of tremendous problems. The nation should see towards future rather than entangling them with differences of past, said Pervez.
He added that nature has endowed the country with unique and rich resources but there is lack of talented and competent leadership and good governance in the country.
“It is deplorable to say that industrial and mercantile activities in the country are withering with the passage of time. The rich people are bound to leave the country due to miserable condition of law and order”, said ex president.
He said, “During discussions, we say proudly that we are more than a billion but the reality is that the Ummah is divided among different religious sects who have nothing to do with true spirit of Islam. These sects are defaming the Muslim world in the name of so-called religious ritual and extremism. We have become enemy of each other for our vested interests.”
He made it clear that if the nation wants to pass a prestigious life, it should shun away all the internal differences and move forward with positive and constructive thinking and strategy.
