LAHORE (Web Desk) – Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO) website has been hacked by hackers identifying themselves as Bilal and Ch3rn0byl.

The home page of the website has a banner put up on it, saying ‘site ki load shedding mubarik ho’ or ‘Congratulations on site’s load shedding’, Dunya News cited.

The home page is completely black with plain text written on it in red, green and white colors. The text goes on to say at the bottom of the page, “We wish you from the bottom of our hearts ….. hope you understand”.

Another misguided attack on people who had nothing to do with the load shedding. It takes at least 5 to 10 or even 15 years to build the electricity generation stations, Hydro dams, nuclear power plants, etc. The 2,000 MW Karachi Nuclear plants will take 8-10 years to build. It takes planning and non-stop construction.

It took 2 to make metro from scratch...if similar dedication is put in power generation, it wouldnt take 2 to AT LEAST REDUCE the intensity!

Pakistan birth rate has come down in last ten years while the corruption and incompetency rates have shot up to the skies !

You can't equate the two, the metro projects far less time consuming, even with the planning, research and feasibility studies thrown in, power generation is far slower and harder to get going.

I am talking about similar DEDICATION thrown in to actually improve the power sector....in 2 yrs you can DEF put new lines, pass laws and make sure action is taken against power thieves .....All this can REDUCE loadshedding and CAN be done in 2 yrs!

That is a stupid post! ....Isb was already a good city even before the metro.....the very fact that its going to crash the economy because it is subsidized and going in negative....people climbing it for ac coz no loadshedding (hence showing alot of use when in reality it is going in loss) calling it something like that is sickening!

Thats not entirely true.Its being subsidized for the relief of common man.Any one can now travel from saddar to pak secretariat in just 20 rs .

2 billion subsidy per annum cant do much to damage the economy.....Though i agree that we had more important issues to solve than building metro buses.....but still whats done is done.there is no going back now

The hacker should appreciate electricity board. They gave him enough power/time to run his system to hack the website.
