WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – US defense giants Raytheon and Lockheed Martin have received a contract worth almost $134 million to provide Javelin man-carried anti-tank missiles to the nations of Jordan, Qatar and Taiwan, the Department of Defense said in a press release.

"Raytheon/Lockheed Martin Javelin JV [Joint Venture of] Tucson, Arizona has been awarded a $133,910,119… foreign military sales (Jordan, Qatar, Taiwan) contract to procure Javelin containerized all-up rounds [and] command launch units," the release said on Tuesday.

Under the contract, the two companies will also provide Javelin vehicle launcher-electronics and associated non-recurring engineering over the next three years with an estimated completion date of August 31, 2020, the Defense Department said.

The FGM-148 Javelin is a US-manufactured man-portable anti-tank missile, according to published reports.
