I don’t think Indians or Indian topics should be banned as this is a Pakistani defense forum and the entire point of Pakistani defense is India. The issue is not with the forum it’s with the people.
Many of the Indians on this forum come here for the sole reason of insulting Pakistan. Many more, including most of the so called senior Indian members always post about how great India is but never back anything up with proof or sources, one such example is the Chattraparti guy who got banned recently when he responded to a post with sources and facts with a racist insult because he doesn’t have anything useful to present.
There are a few Indians, both newer and senior, who come to mind that are excellent members of this forum and their posts are always helpful.
exactly the same can be said about the Pakistanis on this forum, many of them are here just to insult Indians. They create threads directly targeted towards flaming Indians then get mad when Indians retaliate, they’re just as bad and I often find myself wanting to support the Indians when I see such threads because it’s just so damn petty When certain Pakistani members have to open threads to mock even the tiniest things in India and then to actually act surprised when Indians are offended.
so the issue is not with the website or the moderators, and yes there’s a Pro-Pakistani bias on this forum but then what do you expect? It’s a Pakistani website. It’s still much better than all the Indian defense forums where all that goes on 24/7 is Pakistan bashing and every single thread made about Pakistani equipment or issues is just derailed by people with zero knowledge of defense, at least the basic threads of the Indian forum here are free from such BS.
It’s just a destructive cycle with both sides going at each other.
The other issue is the massive number of just defense fanboys on the forum, regardless of countries, who think they know what they’re saying or doing but only present overly patriotic and emotional posts in factual conversations. Those kinds of people ruin the experience for both Pakistanis and Indians and sadly the number of those people far exceeds the people who know anything. Whenever you open a defense related thread half the posts are Indians and Pakistanis insulting each other. 90% of the posts claiming anything have no sources from either side as both sides are convinced they’re right. If the same discussions were done excluding the insults and including sources, it would be a much better sight.
There’s not really a solution to this problem anymore because this is how the general defense-interested populace of both countries is. Except maybe mass bans, which would ruin the activity but might make this forum a better place to discuss defense.
