Parvez Elahi to become CM Punjab - PTI

The ruling Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has announced PML-Q leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi as its candidate for Punjab chief minister, the party formally announced.

In a message on Twitter, the prime minister's aide on political communication, Shahbaz Gill, made the announcement.

Backing Elahi for Punjab CM spot is important in a way if in next elections Pti doesn't get desired number in Punjab assembly than pti will always back elahi over pmln Punjab CM spot. PPP will also than back pmlq CM against pmln. Pmln CM can be kept out in future as well.

buzdar was already ready and if you check the date when JKT and Aleem khan started against imran khan on buzdar. Buzdar was ready for resignation and agree on making pervaiz ilahe but not JKT.

I don't remember him starting 1122, but I do remember him being fairly capable and popular during his CMship. I was actually surprised that Q lost so badly to N at the time.

I believe Q league was winning in punjab by simple majority due to their exceptional performance in all walks of life but musharaf had to honour the deal with evanglical and gulfi brokers so the fellows in charge of the election process - ------.

Why? One of the biggest blunders that might cost PTI government was selecting Buzdar. Very early it became obvious the guy was incapabe of such high office. He should have been removed then - course correction at this late stage smacks of desperation.

I never understood why PMIK chose Buzdar and then risked his political capital on this nobody who proved to be dud.
