Pakistan's science minister reacts after Isro loses contact with Chandrayaan 2's Vikram lander

Its a failure if its not achieved amd waste of money and what you gain by landing on moon for a tag of super power? While condition of live style in india is totally opposite as compare to super power countries.
It's not only about prestige.
What is gained is an understanding and a progression in technology. There will be numerous scientific, engineering, metallurgical, chemical, electronic, IT, astronomic, mathematical challenges to be overcome to mount such a mission even if, on this occasion, it has ended in failure.
The technology acquired will be transferable to many fields and industries, both civil and military.
Knowledge is never wasted.
I wish Pakistan was wasting money in this way.

Perception. Previously India used to be land of snake charmers. We changed that with IT revolution. World is heading greatly towards space technology. We want to be remembered and considered for any potential space business. That perception brings in advanced jobs and high pay day for our brethren

Do they speak because of enmity or they genuinely don't see the benefits. I really can't understand.

I'm not sure to be honest. I think a lot of it is a misplaced patriotism and trying to grab a chance, any chance, to make fun of the enemy.
I'm as patriotic a Pakistani as any but denying reality doesn't achieve anything for my country.

Pakistan's science minister reacts after Isro loses contact with Chandrayaan 2's Vikram lander
Fawad Chaudhry, Pakistan's minister for science and technology, sent out a series of tweets early on Saturday after India's Isro space agency lost contact with its Vikram lander. Vikram was on its descent to the moon when the agency lost contact with it just 2.1km before it reached the lunar surface.

"Please sleep. The toy landed in Mumbai instead of landing on the moon," Chaudhry said in one of his tweets.

India's space agency chief K. Sivan confirmed his team had lost contact with
Chandrayaan-2's Vikram lander minutes before it was about to land on the lunar surface on Saturday morning. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi told scientists that, despite the lost connection, what they'd achieved was no mean feat. "Hope for the best," he said, adding that there were learnings to be had from the venture.
Amazing, is this the level of idiot minister you have.

Any such space mission is a matter of pride for ; it needs to be commended for even have gone that far alone.
