Flooding In

The Pakistani military is set to receive ten Alouette III helos the Swiss government is retiring.

Pakistan has expressed its interest in the helos for some time; the Swiss government has now decided to accede to the request given the flooding in Pakistan and the need for helicopters for search and rescue operations. Bern is donating the assets.

The decision by the Swiss parliament taken this week adds seven Alouette IIIs to a commitment made in August to provide three surplus rotorcraft to Pakistan. Switzerland has bought Eurocopter EC635s, freeing up the Alouettes for disposal.

Transfer of the first of the helos is planned this month, the Swiss government says.

ditch it then after flood relief op's or install it as u said or leave it on our border and run like hell:lol:

It's for relief efforts so whats the proble...These Choopers should be given to National Disaster Management Authority.

Naah Pakistani Army is the main relief effort in the floods, so I think it is best to give to the army.

Considering we have been operating Allouette's for the past 40 or so years..
Its actually a good bargain.. if nothing else they can be cannibalized for spare parts.
