Pakistan's ISI intelligence agency 'supports' Taliban: UK University

Past 20 years we've seen what Pak has done to Afghanistan. Give India a chance and we'll see what happens. What say? :smokin:

India had the last ten years and look where it is now. We did not have a greater role in Afghanistan, UNOCAL and ENRON were busy cutting deals with the Taliban.

How could India have the last ten years, when Taliban influence was at its peak? It is now that India has got the chance.

And don't worry, India has moved on. Pakistan is not the threat to India now, nor is India paranoid about Pak. Things have improved in this year and hopefully keep improving.

So how can Pakistan have twenty years when firstly the USSR were there, then a civil war broke out and when the Taliban came into power by the late 90's, US invaded Afghanistan shortly after.

If Pakistan was not a threat to India, it would not be complaining about its weapons build up or catching pigeons which are accused of working for ISI.

All this talk of Cold Start and Strategic Strikes tells you a lot about the mentality that is prevalent in India.

We had hardly 5-6 years, while other are nearly reaching a decade.

1990 to 2010. Taliban influence still existed till a couple of years back.

We all know India is way ahead in terms of weapons. When the army wants to buy something it has to give a reason. Pakistan was the first word they uttered. Now that our ministers don't digest this, they've started pointing towards China.
Its just a excuse.

Who is talking about cold start and strategies? Is it the common man? no.
It is the generals. But isn't that what they get paid for??
You are generalizing a person's argument as India's stance. Why generalize so much?

The Civil War of Afghanistan is something that you might not be very familiar with, it should be known to you that PDPA (Indian Ally) was in power till 93/94. Then Ahmed Shah Massoud, Rabbani, Hekmatyar had a power struggle where they were killing their own people. Taliban was seen as a stabilizing force and gained power by 97/98 when they started negotiating with USA.

One look at the oft repeated stance of many is evidence enough but there are always people who differ in their opinion.

This is the most absurd article I have come accross, Time and again Western Media will spout propaganda without offering any concrete evidence to back up thier claim, You cannot use few Taliban commanders verbal evidence as concrete proof.

This article just shows the West is failing the so called War on Terror and put Pakistan in the spotlight for all thier failures.

.
And why in the world wud Pakistan's ISI intelligence agency support Taliban, since they are mass murdering their own country people??

The most suitable answer to this is, because they are taking measures to reduce the Country's population

wherever and whenever there is something bad about pakistan these indians are there too to celebrate.

ohh ya Hamid Mir so believable, the king of conspiracy lol

Where is Hamid Mir in the video?

All I see is Riz Khan, Hamid Gul, Michael Scheuer and Shuja Nawaz. At least get the name right, however you are still better than some of the others who are completely unaware of history.

I am also assuming that you did not view the video, am I correct.

i guess he meant Hamed Gul. these days its easier to get around the argument by calling someone conspiracy theorist. so dont bother. furthermore, the other two guests very much agreed with wat Hamed Gul said.
