KSE jumps 1.86 pct on tax reforms implementation hopes -- Shanghai Daily | ???? -- English Window to China New
KARACHI, April 4 (Xinhua) -- Massive selling activities were witnessed at Pakistan's Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) on Wednesday where the main index closed above the crucial 13,900 levels as investors returned to buying ways anticipating a Presidential Order related the Capital Gains Tax (CGT) reforms implementation.
The benchmark KSE 100-Index jumped by 1.86 percent or 254.22 points to close at 13,945.30 levels as against Tuesday's closing levels of 13,691.08, the KSE All Share Index bolstered by 1.84 percent or 176.51 points to end at 9,780.09 levels on Wednesday as against 9,603.58 levels it recorded on Tuesday, the KSE 30-Index climbed up by 1.8 percent or 216.53 points to conclude at 12,272. 53 as compared to closing of 12,056 levels of Tuesday, whereas the KMI 30-Index added 1.52 percent or 357.24 points to finish the day at 23.800.09 levels on Wednesday when compared with a closing of 23,442.85 levels registered the other day.
