I dont think its wrong. Pakistan for far too long has been taken as the whipping boy even for their own failures. As for interim government, it makes perfect sense now because if US is to move forward with peace settlement with the Afghan Taliban, than this regime which is the biggest hurdle needs to go. If we had to cross the red line than we could have easily done so by meeting the leadership of Taliban in Pakistan despite Afghan governments apprehensions. PM Khan did not do so keeping in view the sensitives.

Bro, I know a great deal about Afghanistan but I am keeping my statements to the point here. I can write a massive essay on the issue of Afghanistan, but this is not my intention now.

Of-course, Pakistan can give its suggestions in relation to how to address the ongoing Afghan civil war, but openly picking sides in this matter will not be helpful. Afghanistan is a complex society where a large chunk are not content with Taliban either. Best course of action is to convince all stakeholders to sort out their disputes through dialogue and not through the use of arms because no side is getting anywhere otherwise.

I am all ears though.

American ambassador to Afghanistan reminded Imran Khan this, and now Shireen Mizari jumped in with her insulting remarks. Afghanistan has recalled its ambassador in protest. In which direction this 'circus of kneejerk reactions' is heading? Is PTI-led administration trying to antagonize US or something?

I would go as far as to say that US even respects this. Russia, China even North Korea are fine examples of this. Nobody respects pussies and i am glad that after so many years of dark ages, Pakistan has finally risen up. Yanks will come to respect this no matter how distasteful they find.

Quite frankly, while the Afghans may not like it, an interim government is probably the only way to advance the peace talks with the Taliban and get over the one major stumbling block - the refusal of the Taliban to accept or talk to the Ghani government. The idea of an interim government is probably something being discussed in US circles as well. Additionally, the GOP issued a clarification on IK’s comments after the Afghan protest, so there was absolutely no need for John Bass to jump into the fray as he did and make things worse.
