The recent independence day celebrations have shown to me a new fervent nationalist especially among millennials.

It is also that this new nationalism is not linked to religion. Have seen many young men and women. Holding the flag, incorporating it into clothes.

The future is bright.

Nationalism is not linked to religion. In Islam, nationalism does not have any place but patriotism does. The Two Nation theory on which Pakistan was created also tells us that all Muslims are a single nation. It means that we should not differentiate between ourselves by our country rather all Muslim countries no matter where they exist on the map are a single nation.
Every nationalist is a patriot but every Patriot is not a nationalist.

You're wrong in case of nationhood concept in Islam.

Nationalism, ethnicity or similar concepts aren't haram. The Kur'an acknowledges the fact that we have different backgrounds. All depends on how you define nationalism. Being proud of technological and scientific progress of your nation is a very Islamic sentiment because you're exploring Allah's creation as a community/group -> this is also a form of being "pious". Racism on the other hand is indeed haram.

For instance, our Imam told us always that working and being succesful is a form of Islamic prayer. The harder you work, the stronger is Allah's love for you. You're getting more sevap. There is no difference between hard working and praying 5 times or going to mosque every day. It's equally important.

I personally refuse the concept of Islam without nationalism for many specific reasons, which I can tell you: DAESH, Al Qaida, Taliban, Boko Haram etc. pp.

All of them have in common that they reject nationalism. Look at the recently radicalized Turkish/Bosnian/Albanian in Europe. These people always had contact with Salafist Arab Muslims supporting pan-Islamist ideas (of terror organizations) before heading towards Syria.

Islam without a nationalist framing leads with certainty to extremism.

Well someone has to clean the mess created by the Zia and Bhutto era generation

Off topic what has this anything to do anything with secularism?
I tell you there is a new secular nationalism being born.

One of the best ways to shows their loyalty is by enrolling in the military. Pakistani citizens are not prepared for any confrontation by three of its hostile neighbours.

Post 2025 we might be seeing a very different Pakistan . A much westernised , liberal and outward thinking Pakistan

I have noticed this myself. Since late 2015 there has been a huge rise in Pakistani nationalism by Pakistanis all over the world. I am 38 years old but have never witnessed something like this before. I feel it is the right thing to do. Pakistanis are changing as a people now more than they have ever done before. Another thing I have noticed is that the younger generation are looking more towards China and the nations West of us becuase they have realized that is were our future and destiny lie, unlike the older generations. After 70 years, Pakistan is FINALLY moving in the right direction.

We only have 1 enemy really. Iran is not going to attack Pakistan as it is pointless and we have far too much in common with Iranians than with any other country in the world. Especially our peoples. Afghans are a destroyed people who are mainly all drug addicts who can never do anything meaningful or productive. We're more at risk from the Eskimos than we are from Afghans. The only enemy we have is india.

Still feel we need our people to become a warrior like nation and fully prepared to back our armed forces in any confrontation.
