What's new

Pakistani military structures built on Afghan territory (Few KM border glitch)

What is it with you, and purposefully trying to drive a wedge between people of different regions?

The other guy started it so I had to give him a reality check.

I would assume they are still under construction/planning since the fencing doesn't seem to be 100% complete right now either

Was the fencing ever completed?

I remember there was an announcement saying it was done in late 2021. But what happened to it? There was no update after that.

This alone is not going to be enough, Afghanistan within the next decade or after a decade or so, is going to return back to its old habits of interferring in Pakistan's internal affairs and supporting terrorist groups. This time you can't play the same old game of keeping the nation oblivious won't work due to social media awareness, and they are more motivated than ever after NATO's exit. India will play an instrumental role just like it did in the past.

Alongside getting our own house in order internally, and securing our border. We must eternally weaken them and limit their total potential to negligible.

To do this, Khorosan must be established. It is the only solution to sustainable long-term peace for Pakistan. Or at least it will be a *mangagable* status-quo.

The Khorosan region is filled with minerals and fertile land, the people there are progressive, and innovative minded. We must separate them so their potential is not used against us. Keep the southern part exclusively as Afghanistan, fill it with extremism and barren land and lock it off. After this that small state will pose no serious risk to us.
I have a thread on that

That's my point exactly. If you can't see from Google earth, doesn't mean it isn't there. Afterall, what's the point of military camouflage then. I can point out all these things in these pictures, but can't do because it will help someone else in sneaking in.

You cant see all the themal and infra red imagers inside and around it. 50 cal AMRs, LSRs, apart from regular weapons and ammo.

There is a concept of mutual support by fire in modern armies. You should be able to find multiple 81 mm, 120 mm mortars and 122 mm D30s guns towards the eastern side, deep inside, to provide all around fire support to each post.

Moreover, keep in mind that soldiers do get sometimes killed due to own mistakes or violation of procedures.

If manning an isolated post is cruel, as you say... Then it is like that. Military and fighting active combat, is always cruel and not fair.
Thank you for clearing that one up.
One keeps telling such fools that the real world is different from PDF. Yet they will see OSINT and consider it mayi-baap and deen-emaan as the operational needs of Pakistan Army.

They will never understand the whole procedure including surveys conducted when planning a site as a post or fire base or military structure. The support it is slated to get and the necessary weapon/sensor deployment along with the reinforcement from near by base. How many soldiers will be deployed, the NCO or JCO along with the officer who will be over seeing its operations, along with other SOPs. The HQs through which the reports will be run and the resources and building material for installing this post.

On seeing such posts from them, it gets clearer that they have no understanding of military strategic or tactical affairs. Taking OSINT as a source from Almighty internet for military operational analysis just as they religiously follow every video posted on internet by media, journalists and other wanna-be analysts on youtube as an authentic source coming straight from meetings and away they go with inadequate information. And on top of that when they give their analysis based on 50% false narrative and the other half on imaginative scenario, the quote ,"a little learning is a dangerous thing", befits them superbly.

This isn't enough. Scorched earth policy on Kunar, Khost and Paktia. Uproot racist extremist Afghan Pashtun network and push them back to Kabul.

Even if I agree that there are support bunkers there, what will that Achieve ? we can't save our soldiers in our own protected areas, you really expect that the soldiers who will be stationed there will have life span for more than two years ? I doubt it. This whole thing seems like some General make big bucks out of the construction and he don't give a S1ht about the foot soldiers.

Thermal, infrared, 50cal LSR's and much more couldn't save our soldiers inside our own territory, what good they will do inside Afghanistan ?

why put soldiers in that building to begin with ? it serves no purpose, that building lets say 5km inside the Afghanistan to keep an eye on Taliban activity in the surrounding valley, if we are smart and honest we can do it with Drones.

No nation on earth except Pakistan willingly put their soldiers in harms way, this is unique to Pakistan where our soldiers are send out there to die with cheap equip, stupid strategy and literally no vision or planning from our Generals who can't even go up and down from stairs without losing their breath.

Manning isolated posts are not cruel, but leaving them there vulnerable without air or ground support, the location of that building is literally few km from Pakistan border which can be covered from Drone coverage, that is cruel.

Honestly tbh I agree

You have to make the southern areas unliveable, biological/chemical weapons, whatever but something needs to be done

I don't understand you guys

When the army wasn't doing anything; you complained they are just DHA dealers.

Now they are building presence in problematic areas; you're complaining??

There is air support there and they have heli pads near the forts. He already explained there is more that meets the eye...

Allah ka wasta hai, koi shukar karo - be happy they are doing their work in one of the most unsecure areas - we just need to see some success in the planning

@PanzerKiel
Would need a viable weapons platform or system for clearing tunnels and caves.
Thermobaric weapons already operational.

Whatever support you want, from fire to PAF and UCAV is in effect. Deaths cannot be avoided. It's a war being fought. No Victor won without losing lives.

Effort however must be made to avoid needless loss of lives.

Beautiful. We need some investment & innovation in biological/chemical weapons too.

The yanks made a gay bomb, this is what you call innovation.

Perhaps some sort of biological weapon that can cause fatigue or something similar and is contagious - this could prevent a population from waging any effective insurgency...

500K - 2 million Afghans died fighting against the Soviets. But they won, they built a legacy.

Freedom comes at a cost, if you want to be free, if you want to retain your sovereignty then it must be paid.

As long as the objective is reached then it's worth it.
