amazing. are there no standard bread making facilities in supermarkets etc. Here bread is made generally within supermarkets; yes our super markets have complete cooking facilities except for metropolitan areas where there is a distribution system. Pick n Pay bread is very good.
Not sure of your part of the world but I found our bread here, we dont use sugar and hence good natural taste. Other countries i found bread was too sweet.

It is very easy to make at home; we make here at home around 10-15 loaves at a time outside. I have a clay oven; once it is heated up; just place the dough (circular) no need for fancy containers on a steel rack.

Just use brewer's yeast, sugar, salt to raise. Around 5kg of flour, some oil and a good heavy duty flour mixer we have. Let it rest for 1hr; then again use the machine to leaven it once more; rest again for 1 hr.

At this point you just scoup and put on the plates and into the oven. very simple stuff.

we also make maize bread; 50/50 maize + regular flour. same technique.
