What's new

Pakistani boy, Indian girl and a royal wedding in Jaipur

Look at that dude's face, he's already aware of his fate and is scaring the crap outa me too.
Cold feet??

Don't think of a marriage as "marriage" but just a live in relationship, it works out better that way. (IMO!!)
The word marriage is very binding, gives an impression that you've been put behind the bars or atleast thats how men make it sound.
But does that stop'em from getting married?
BIG FAT NOOO!

You know, I've said this often before and such a happy occasion
( save for the groom judging by his face as many noted  ) is the
perfect time to say it again :
wherever there are tensions between countries and people, we could …
select the border regions inhabitants by their willingness to live together.

The first time I used that was in my blog about Israel and Palestine. Instead of having those ultra-racists colons
antagonize the displaced populations until hatred is so thick that you have to build a shameful wall to divide them
further, supposedly for protection :cuckoo:

why not have those that want convivial, peaceful daily lives come to these disputed zones and thus turn
no-man's lands into no-bad-men's lands or Hu-man's lands?

There are schools in Israel that are willingly mixed between the communities, Yes, even in Israel, imagine!!!
I could easily see the same between Pakistan and India. After growing up together, marrying and so on, the
border would be filled with people, not Pakis or Bharats and they certainly would not welcome attacks from
either side endangering their communities.

The only drawback being of course that if we did that, the sectarian & violent idiots would end up aggregated
in the midlands of every nation. For Instance, in the US, we'd end up with the cool ones lining the 49th parallel
with Canada ( pretty much already the case anyway ) but you'd have to move Texas smack in da middle, say
by upper tier of Mississipi river and clear of the Rockies or Appalachians.
Oh, and capitals could not be located there either, 8-)

Oh, well, I'm a dreamer, what can I say :man_in_love:
Long lives to the happy/frowning couple* and both lands, Tay.

* Really, they looked like this :  :(

Happy married life to both....
