Pakistani & Bangladeshi Unity - Muslims must unite.

 the 'CROWDS' in this grand event show how much support this idiotic suggestion has.

Neither Bd nor Pakistan ever wants to be 'united' again. We must get along and cooperate when the need arises but we'll all protect our national interest first.

Yes, and it got created and swiftly the alliance broke too. We have our own majority Muslim land of 150m people now let's unify that.

There are shared needs and shared interests, but most important is shared space. Let's think about our own countrymen first.

I think they mean it as political and strategic union based on the notion of Ummah, not getting one country which is not necessary and possible.

Yes like here we Bangladeshis hate each other. Our own unity should be the first priority. But seems impossible.
But in long run we may be able to live peacefully even we have difference. But for that a fair election is needed to understand what Bangladeshis want.

A fair election will bring respect for others opinions, and let us live and progress even we have difference.

Agree with the shared space.

On another note, a Pakistani "brother" of yours is getting roasted on "Chinese students learning Bengali" thread by Kobiraz. So much for Muslim unity

There is no conflict between Language and Religion. Even with any local culture, except when it has any conflict with Muslims' believe of oneness and supremacy of God.

By the way, in my opinion religion and state need to be separated. I believe in democracy and tolerance. I have no problem with any deal and relation between India and BD govt if it happens through the process of democracy.

Urdu was not accepted by Bangladeshis because it was not our native language, plus some kind of inflexibility in mentality and insecurity in mind.
