Islamabad, May 25, IRNA – A senior Pakistani analyst said hre Friday Islamic Republic of Iran should continue its nuclear program because it is the sovereign right of any governemnt to meet requirements.

Talking to IRNA, Ansar Abbasi said that negotiations between Iran and the 5+1 is a positive development but western states should respect Iran’s legitimate rights.

The second round of nuclear negotiations between Iran and the 5+1 ended in the Iraqi capital on Thursday.

Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Sa'eid Jalili and the European Union (EU) Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Ashton co-chaired the talks.

The first round of fresh nuclear discussions between Iran and the Group 5+1- the US, Britain, France, Russia and China plus Germany, were held in Baghdad on Wednesday.

The Iranian delegation to nuclear talks has offered a five-pivot package of proposals to the representatives of Group 5+1, led by European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton.

The package envisaged a step-by-step approach to resolve the dispute over Iranian nuclear program and the practical steps the western governments should take in parallel.

Ansar Abbasi expressing his views said that the western states must accept the technological advancements of the Muslims with open mind.

“No matter how much you are peaceful, they will not allow you to take independent decisions,” he pointed out.

The analyst went on to say that it is good to see that Russia and China are supporting Iran’s peaceful nuclear program.

Ansar Abbasi added that Iran is a regional power and cannot be isolated by aggressive policies.

The journalist was of the view that if the US can continue to be a nuclear power then how can they object over the nuclear programs of other countries. The journalist added Iran is a signatory to nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and can use the nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.

The analyst stressed the need for forging unity among Muslim Ummah adding that unity is the only solution to the problems of Muslims.

Ansar Abbasi is an investigative editor for one of the leading newspaper from Pakistan, The News International.

.
Ansar Abbasi should be careful.....
It is not a good idea for Pakistani scientist to get involved with Iranian situation.

.
atleast Iran's efforts are indigenous ...

#some body tell these iranians to shut the fcuk up. Do whatever but with silence..

.
Every country in the world has right to secure itself against every danger, hostility and aggression. If Nuclear, Thermonuclear or Hydrogen Bombs would be needed for that, every country including Iran has right to go for it. It is so simple and straightforward and doesn't need to be discussed or debated anymore.

Also Iranian Nukes wouldn't endanger Pakistan or this region but rather strong Iran would be a reason of stability in this region and Pakistanis would welcome this move.

Iran has already managed to make a fusion device operational in a few experiments and can apply its technology to the field of medicine.
For the western arrogant countries, this is an affront to their intelligence and IQs.
Are not the Muslims in general supposed to be backward? who will believe the west now? Are they liars(they can come up with a thousand and one cases to prove their lies)? how much money and effort they have put to demonise Muslims? is it all gone down the drain? can they accept this reality?

Your thought is a fart, and shows that you think from your behind where thin air comes from.

he's saying the right thing and it's hard to say if any Pakistani scientists are "involved" in Iran's N-program.

Fact is Indian scientists are also in there for help if my guess is not widely wrong.

.
lol More Iranian than the Iranians?

The Iranias have themselves said that they do not want nukes. ;)
