WASHINGTON, Oct 28 (APP) A Pakistani-American’s computer training school, CyberTex Institute of Technology, has been honored at Inc.Its 31st annual conference and celebration of America’s fastest-growing private companies. Iqbal Sheikh, the Austin-based founder president and CEO, received the Inc. 5000 Award for 2013 at a ceremony in Washington. Along with CyberTex, the 2012 list included other powerhouses such as Alex and Ani, LivingSocial, Bojangels, OtterBox and KT Tape. This is CyberTex’s second
consecutive year to be awarded. Since 2001, CyberTex has been listed among Top 25 Computer Training Schools in the Austin (Taxes) region. This year, it ranked number 6 in Austin’s Business Journal Book of Lists for Career & Tech Schools.
CyberTex has also been a recipient of Diversity Business Top 500 Emerging Business in America and awarded by Austin Business Journal as one of the 50 fastest growing corporation of Central Texas.
Sheikh has been affiliated as a member of the British Computer Society andAustin Technology Council, and was instrumental in raising $500,000 to establish the Charlie Wilson Chair in Pakistan Studies at the University of Texas, Austin, first privately funded Chair in Pakistan Studies.
In 2012, Sheikh ventured into high-end fashion industry with Young & Fabulous fashion house.
