Pakistan welcomes Sikh pilgrims

@Samurai_assassin

We should just remember what they did to Muslims in 1947. Over a million, raped, butchered. Organized sikh terrorists called jathas killing unarmed people. Slaughtering literally whole neighbourhoods giving the rest to vultures to eat. And its history can't be twisted as its visually documented.

You calling Sikhs as terrorists? Sikhism was born to bring Islam and Hinduism under one umbrella.

Sikhism started when Baba Nanak ji said, there is no Hindu, there is no Musalman. The problem was the Mughals persecuted Sikh Gurus to create this animosity. Sikhism is similar to Hinduism which gives freedom to people how they want to discover god.

Brutality of ISIS is the copy of what Mughals did with Sikhs of Punjab [Warning: graphic images]

Stockton, California: The history of Sikhism is closely associated with the history of Punjab and the socio-political situation in medieval India. Sikhs distinction was further enhanced by the establishment of the Khalsa, by Guru Gobind Singh in 1699. Sikhism was created by Guru Nanak, a religious leader and a social reformer during the fifteenth century in the Punjab region. The religious practice was formalized by Guru Gobind Singh on 13 April 1699. The latter baptized five persons from different social backgrounds to form Khalsa.

The Mughal Empire was founded by Babur, a Central Asian ruler who was descended from the Turko-Mongol conqueror Timur on his father’s side and from Chagatai, the second son of the Mongol ruler Genghis Khan, on his mother’s side. Ousted from his ancestral domains in Central Asia, Babur turned to India to satisfy his ambitions. He established himself in Kabul and then pushed steadily southward into India from Afghanistan through the Khyber Pass. Babur’s forces occupied much of northern India after his victory at Panipat in 1526. Generally Sikhism has had amicable relations with other religions. However, during the Mughal rule of India (1556–1707), the emerging religion had strained relation with the ruling Mughals. Prominent Sikh Gurus were martyred by Mughals for opposing some Mughal emperors’ persecution of Sikhs and Hindus. Subsequently, Sikhism militarized to oppose Mughal hegemony and ended their rule in India.

ISIS and Mughals
What ISIS is doing is the exact copy of what Mughals did against Sikh Gurus and followers of Sikhism from 15th century to 18th century. Mughal Empire wanted whole India to be converted to Islam religion. Hindus started converting to Muslim because of fear. Watching hundreds of thousands conversion and the fear for their own life, Hindu religious leaders came and asked for help from Sikh Gurus and his followers. Sikh Gurus stepped up to protect freedom of religion (which was unheard on any corner of the world at that time) and Mughals started the same brutal war crime against Sikhs is exactly what Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is doing today in 21st century.

Guru Arjan Dev Ji
g5-2t.jpg

Guru Arjan Devi ji was put on hot plate by mughals and they poured hot sand on top of Sikh Guru.

The Mughal emperor Jahangir wrote in his autobiography Tuzk-e-Jahangiri that too many people were becoming persuaded by Guru Arjan’s teachings and if he did not become a Muslim the Sikh Panth had to be extinguished. HE ordered the Guru’s execution A contemporary Jesuit account, written in early 17th century by Spanish Jesuit missionary into the Mughal court Father Jerome Xavier (1542–1605), who was in Lahore at the time, records that the Sikhs managed to get Jahangir to commute the death sentence to a heavy fine, for which a rich individual, possibly a Sikh, stood as guarantor. The Guru however refused to let a fine be paid for him and even refused when a longtime friend of his, Sufi Sai Mian Mir, tried interceding on his behalf. Jahangir tortured Guru Arjan in the hopes of extracting the money, but the Guru refused to give the fine and was executed.

Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji

The Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb ordered Hindu temples to be destroyed and that idol worship was to be stopped. He had a temple converted into a Mosque and slaughtered a cow inside it. He also had Hindus sacked from their government jobs and employed Muslims instead. Aurangzeb also ordered Gurdwaras to be destroyed, and he expelled many missionaries from the main cities. Despite some resistance after many years of persecution, people were being forced to take up Islam. Aurangzeb, being clever, decided if he could convert the revered Brahmin Pandits of Kashmir that millions of followers would then easily be converted. Threatened with conversion or death, the Pandits overcome by panic, came in a delegation to Chakk Nanaki, Pargana Kahlur and requested Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s help. Hearing the serious nature of the conversation, Guru Ji’s 9 year old son Gobind Rai Ji told his father what the problem was. The Guru told his son of the Pandits dilemma and said that it would take a holy man literally laying down his life to intercede. Gobind Rai responded “Who would be better than you to defend the poor Brahmins”. Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji decided to stand up for the right of freedom of worship and told the delegation to tell Aurangzeb that if he could convert Guru Tegh Bahadur they would gladly convert.

Four days later Guru Tegh Bahadur ji was arrested, along with some of his followers, Bhai Dayala, Bhai Mati Das and Bhai Sati Das by Nur Muhammad Khan.

After Mati Das, Dyal Das and Sati Das were tortured and executed on three consecutive days, Guru Tegh Bahadur was beheaded at Chandni Chowk in 1675. Guru Tegh Bahadur is popularly known as “Hind Di Chadar” i.e. “The Shield of India”, in reference to his popular image as sacrificing his life for the protection of religious freedom in India.

Bhai Sati Das, Bhai Mati Das & Bhai Dayala
Bhai Sati Das was wrapped up in cotton wool, set alight and was roasted alive. He remained calm and peaceful and kept uttering Waheguru, waheguru, waheguru (Sikh meditation). His martyrdom is remembered by the Sikhs in their daily prayers. This happened on 24 November 1675, on the same day as Bhai Mati Das was executed.

Sawed, Burned and Boiled Alive – Bhai Dayala, Bhai Mati Das and Bhai Sati Das.

Mati Das while standing erect was tied between two posts. He was asked if he had any parting words, to which Mati Das answered, “I request only that my head be turned toward my Guru as I am executed.” Two executioners placed a double-handed saw on his head. Mati Das serenely uttered “Ek Onkar” and started reciting the Japji Sahib, the great morning prayer of the Sikhs. He was sawn in half from head to loins. It is said that even as the body was being sawn into two, the Japji continued to reverberate from each part until it was all over.

Qazi pronounced his religious order that Bhai Dayala must either accept Islam or be prepared to embrace death by being boiled in a Cauldron. Bhai Dayal was asked for a final time if he would leave his faith and embrace Islam. Bhai sahib defiantly and consistently answered, “No!” to the qazi’s repeated requests. This infuriated the qazi who pronunced his immediate torture and death. The executioners sat Bhai Sahib in the cauldron of water under which a large fire was lit. Slowly the water was let warm; then it was hot; soon it was too hot and then it was boiling. Bhai Dayala continued to his last breath to recite Sikh prayers.

Bhai Taru Singh Ji

After a short period of imprisonment and torture, Bhai Taru Singh ji was brought by Mughals before Lahore Governor Zakariya Khan and given the choice of converting to Islam or being executed. Taru Singh calmly asked, “Why must I become a Mussalman (a Muslim person)? Do not the Mussalmans ever die?” Upon his refusal, and in a public display, Bhai Taru Singh’s scalp was cut away from his skull with a sharp knife to prevent his hair from ever growing back. Bahi Taru Singh ji was left to bleed to his death by Mughals.

Mass torture and persecution of Sikhs
Zakariya Khan was the Mughal governor of Lahore, now in Pakistan. He had taken part in the Mughal Empire’s operations against the Sikh leader Banda Singh Bahadur. After the capture of Banda Singh and his companions in December 1715, he escorted the prisoners to Delhi, rounding up Sikhs that he could find in villages along the route. As he reached the Mughal capital, the caravan comprised seven hundred bullock carts full of severed heads and over seven hundred captives. He ordered village officials to capture Sikhs and hand them over for execution. A graded scale of rewards was laid down – a blanket for cutting off a Sikh’s hair; ten rupees for information about the whereabouts of a Sikh; fifty rupees for a Sikh scalp. Plunder of Sikh homes was made lawful; giving shelter to Sikhs or withholding information about their movements was made a capital offense.

From top left: Mughal army returning with Sikh heads on spike to claim reward. Top right: Sikhs getting butchered for refusing to convert to Islam. Bottom Left: Mughal ruler giving rewards for killing Sikhs. Bottom right: Non-Soldier Muslims (Mughals Sympathizer) killing Sikhs .

Zakariya Khan’s police, consisting of nearly 20,000 men especially recruited for this purpose, scoured the countryside and brought back hundreds of Sikhs in chains. Prominent Sikhs including the revered Bhai Mani Singh and Bhai Tariff Singh were, after the severest of torments, publicly beheaded at the Nakhas, the horse-market of Lahore, renamed by Sikhs “Shahidganj” in honour of the martyrs. Yet Zakariya Khan remained unsuccessful in his object of vanquishing the Sikhs. He died at Lahore on 1 July 1745 a dispirited man, bequeathing to his sons and successors chaos and confusion.

Torture on Sikh Women & Kids
01-Meer-Mannus-Jail.jpg
The Sikh women held as prisoners in Mir Mannu’s Jail (1748-1753) who endured the pain of having their children murdered and made into garlands around their necks but did not sacrifice their faith. During 18th century Sikh women were arrested and endured torture in Mir Mannu’s Jail in Lahore, they chanted: “ਮਨੂੰ ਸਾਡੀ ਦਾਤਰੀ ਅਸੀਂ ਮਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਸੋਏ || ਜਿਉਂ ਜਿਉਂ ਮਨੂੰ ਵਢਦਾ ਅਸੀਂ ਦੂਣ ਸਵਾਏ ਹੋਏ || (We are the grass, and Mannu the sickle (grass-cutting blade); The more he cuts us, the more we grow.)”

Never knew historians are leftists.

Your histiry books have been reinterpreted like most of your literature.
RSS was'nt founded yesterday and its BJP parent organization. There is not much difference between bjp and congress on hindu hate and reinterpretation of history
I still remember a 5th standard quiz book of a friend of indian embassy school 'Who said India should be destroyed?' Answer was M.A. Jinnah. Have never been able to find that quote but it shows how indians are indoctrinated from childhood.

The sources that I have posted are all from Sikhs themselves. Nothing to do with Hindus or BJP or Congress. :cheesy:

Nice way for Sikhism to bring Muslims and Hindus together rofl.
This BS literature shows there can never be reconciliation and still trying to make crap after slaughtering millions in 1947 .
Your stupid fairy tales all associated with Aurangzeb tenure, about forcible conversions yet there are more Hindus and Sikhs than Muslims in some states.

Sikhs were known dacoits who robbed many communities even British called them thugs. But unusually you might nothave got that history lesson. Still playing the victim after butchering millions and getting screwed in 1984 by the same hindus.

Ignoring the Sikh-Islam history of friendship, Pakistan bans Muslims from gurdwaras

Hindus and Christians can enter shrines at Nankana Sahib, but a security protocol keeps Muslims out.

On the occasion of the 548th Nanak Gurpurab earlier this month, Siddiq-ul-Farooq, the chairman of the Evacuee Trust Property Board, the government organisation responsible for looking after non-Muslim property in Pakistan, announced the opening of the Gurdwara Kiara Singh in Nankana Sahib to Sikh pilgrims. This is one of the five gurdwaras in the city in Punjab province that is associated with Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism, and commemorates the spot where the guru’s buffaloes are believed to have entered someone else’s fields. That person complained to the ruler of the town but an enquiry found that the fields were miraculously undamaged. The government now plans to place the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy scripture of the Sikhs, at this gurdwara, which means that there would be prayers every day and not just on festivals, as was the case.

The opening up of this gurdwara is part of the government’s larger agenda of renovating and opening Sikh shrines to pilgrims. At the start of this year, it had reopened a historical gurdwara in Peshawar that had been shut since Partition.

There is at least one police official posted at the entrance of each of these renovated gurdwaras who monitors the flow of devotees. Sikhs, Hindus and even Christians are allowed but never Muslims, except with special permission. This policy is strictly maintained at the time of festivals such as Nanak Gurpurab and Baisakhi, when thousands of Sikh pilgrims converge. This exception is explained as a security protocol. A few times, when I didn’t have my press card, I was barred from entering a gurdwara.

Traditional gurdwaras have four entrances. I was told by my Sikh friends at Nankana Sahib that these symbolically represent the entrance points of four different religions. The concept being that a gurdwara is the abode of God and no one can be denied entry. In fact, there is a popular story connected with this dating back to Baba Bulleh Shah, the rebellious 18th-century mystic poet from Kasur. The story goes that he was once being chased by a Muslim mob he had offended when he entered a gurdwara in a village close to Kasur city. The mob demanded that the Sikh authorities turn Bulleh Shah away but they refused, saying he was protected in the house of God. Eventually, the mob went away.

However, that is not how Pakistani authorities view religion or religious shrines today. The syncretism that the traditional Sikh architecture of a gurdwara, or the story of Bulleh Shah, represents has no space in Pakistan. It goes against the very essence of its perceived identity. A product of compartmentalisation of religion, premised upon exclusive religious identity, there is no space for fluid religious boundaries in this environment. The Pakistani officials who draft such policies have been conditioned to view religion in this exclusionary manner. For them, it would be inconceivable for a Pakistani Muslim to be a devotee of Guru Nanak, Guru Arjan and Guru Tegh Bahadur.

Intertwined heritage
Such an understanding lacks historical context, as all of these Sikh gurus had Muslim as well as Hindu devotees. For example, Nanak is believed to have had a Hindu and a Muslim devotee by the names of Bhai Bala and Bhai Mardana, respectively. It is said that both of them asked Nanak what religion they should follow to become his devotees. He told them that if they were Hindu, then they should become good Hindus, and if they were Muslim, then they should become good Muslims, and that’s how they would become his devotees. Nanak is believed to have said that whoever was willing to learn (Sikh means learn in Punjabi) could become his devotee. Hence, it was possible for a Muslim or a Hindu to be a Sikh. There are thousands of Nanak-Panthi Hindus all over Sindh who have maintained a distinct Hindu identity and worship Hindu deities while also being devotees of Guru Nanak.

The Guru Granth Sahib, regarded as a living saint by Khalsa Sikhs, is another testimony to the unique syncretism that is part of Sikhism’s religious heritage. Along with containing the poetry of Guru Nanak, Angad Dev, Amar Das, Ram Das, Arjan and Tegh Bahadur, it also contains the poetry of Muslim saints, including Bhai Mardana, Baba Farid, Satta, Balwand, Bhagat Bhikhan and Bhagat Kabir.

The story of the friendship between Guru Arjan and Mian Mir, the Sufi saint from Lahore, is also well documented. According to legend, Arjan invited Mian Mir to Amritsar to lay the foundation brick for the Harmandir Sahib. At the time, Arjan was being tortured by cronies of emperor Jahangir and Mian Mir is believed to have offered to destroy the Mughal empire, an offer the guru turned down.

Inside the Gurdwara Janamasthan, the grandest of the gurdwaras at Nankana Sahib, there is a picture of Baba Farid at the entrance, followed by a picture of Guru Nanak. For several years, Sikh pilgrims have been urging the Pakistan government to give them special visas to attend the annual urs celebration of Baba Farid at Pakpattan.

At Kartarpur Sahib, the final resting place of Nanak, hundreds of Muslim devotees continue to come and pay homage to the guru, a saint they regard as their own. Similarly, if the gurdwaras of Nankana Sahib are opened to Muslim devotees, I have no doubt that many of them would visit these shrines.

The Pakistani state, however, is oblivious to these intertwined histories and traditions of Sikhism and Islam. For its officials, these nuances that have for generations shaped the relationship between the two communities no longer exist. They continue to bar Muslims from entering Sikh gurdwaras but would they ever be able to remove the influence of Baba Farid, Bhai Mardana, Mian Mir and other Muslim saints on the Sikh religion?

India had come to very dark times. The emperor was a cruel man who killed his older brother so he could rule. He was unkind to his own children and starved his father to death. He did everything for the sake of power. He was a very feared ruler by his subjects and did not have any love for people of other religions. Even most Muslims didn't like him. He asked his advisors,

"What do I have to do to gain the trust of my fellow Muslims? I will do whatever it takes."

He was advised,

"Sire, there is only one way to gain the trust of all Muslims...That is by converting Hindus to become Muslim. Destroy Hinduism from the root. The center for Hindu priests is in the land of Kashmir. Convert them first. Once they are Muslim all others will follow."

Aurangzeb issued orders to give offerings to his holy city to show how religious he was. He ordered all the musical instruments destroyed.

“May MUSIC never be heard again!!"

He introduced a tax for all non-muslims.
“Collect the holy tax from all non-believer infidels!"

He also made orders to convert Hindus to Islam.
“If a man converts to our religion give him money, if a woman converts, give her half as much money."

He offered position, land and money to anyone who converted.
"I will be famous in history! A great servant of God! Sher Afghan Khan, you are my governor in Kashmir. The great task is on you!"

Sher Afghan Khan was extremely cruel and merciless. He have the Hindu's two choices: Either they change their religion... or they die. Many, many Hindus refused to convert and they were killed. Fear spread all over India like a dark cloud....
GTB_India_550.jpg

One pundit prayed from the bottom of his heart,
"Holy gods and goddesses, I am being forced to turn against you or, or I will be killed. I shall not betray my faith in you. What can I do? I am your child. Save me, save us all from this oppression."

He had a vision. ...a heavenly voice spoke to him, it said,

"The gods and goddesses can not help. Guru Nanak is the spiritual king in this dark age; The 9th Guru is now seated on his throne. Go to him He will protect your religion and your honor."

So he and all the other Pundits journeyed to Anandpur to meet Siri Guru Teg Bahadur ji! Guru ji kindly welcomed them to the house of the Guru. They looked sad. They told him of the horrible things that were happening,
“Temples are being destroyed, even Gurduaras are being destroyed. They have collected a huge pile of Sacred Hindu Threads from those who've been killed or converted. Who knows how many of us have been killed. We have done nothing to deserve this! If we do not convert, we will die too. But how can we give up our faith?? We have come to you for help! Save us from this tragedy... this DESPAIR!!”

Guru ji felt how these kind-hearted men were so sad. He felt what a difficult situation they were in. Just then the Guru’s son walked in.
"Hahahaha!"

Gobind Rai was about 8 years old. He saw all of this sadness. He hugged his father and asked,
“Pita ji, why are these kind men so sad??”

Guru ji answered, "My beloved son, the emperor is forcing them to give up their religion, under threat of death. There is no end to their misery.”

“Gobind Rai asked, "What is the solution?" And his father answered, “These rulers, they are acting like animals, their hearts are frozen. They need to be softened; their hearts need to be warmed... What is needed is the sacrifice of a holy soul.”

“Innocent Gobind Rai said to his Guru-father, "Dear Pita ji, in this dark age, who is more holy than you? Go and offer yourself! Save them!”

GTB_Pandits_550.jpg

Guru Teg Bahadur knew what needed to happen and he welcomed it as God’s Will. Guru ji had a message sent to the emperor:
Kirpa Ram: “Ahem..Emperor Aurangzeb... The 9th Guru, Guru Teg Bahadur is now seated on the throne of the Great Baba Nanak. He is our leader now! and he has a message for you. If you can convince the Guru to join your religion then all of his Sikhs will convert. All us Hindus will convert as well.”
Aurangzeb was happy to hear this,
“All the Sikhs and Hindu’s are going to convert!! It's like a dream come true! Eehehehahahaha.... Ahem, God is great.”
Guru ji was summoned to Dehli... and on his honor he went.
On the way to Dehli, Guru Teg Bahadur ji shared the Naam with all people. The words of the Guru were welcomed just like water is welcome in a desert,
“This world is not real, it is like a dream. The only thing that is real is Truth. Give up your life but do not give up your faith.”
When the Guru finally made it to Dehli, the emperor tried to convince him to give up his religion.
“Become Muslim and you will be a famous and great priest in my court. You will be rich and have everything your heart desires.”
But Guru ji replied,
“My heart desires to live just as God Wills me to.”
The emperor didn't understand the Guru's message,
“But I am doing God’s will! The most high God came to ME in a vision, so now I have to convert the whole world to be Muslim!”
Guru ji told him the truth, "I don't know what God you are talking about but if the One God wanted only one religion, then why is there more than one religion in the first place? Everything is the will of Creator, that is what we all must follow. You nor I nor anyone can change it... The Divine has willed that.. there will be Hindus, Muslims... and Sikhs.”
Aurangzeb didn't like the Hindu religion,
"But the Hindus worship statues! This is an utter, damnable insult to God and it must be stopped!!"
Guruji shared the Guru's way, "I do not believe in idol worship either. But everyone is a child of God. Everyone should be free to worship as they wish."
Aurangzeb failed to convert Guru ji so he tried something else,
“Well, leader of the Sikhs, if you are such a man of God than you should perform miracles to prove it. A man of God can always do miracles.”
Guru ji refused ,
“I will not do any miracles. To undo what the Creator does is an insult to the Heavens. My heart has no greed, I do not want your positions or wealth. I will not change my religion, do what you want with me.”

The emperor was impressed with the Guru but that was not enough for him to change his nature. His advisor again poisoned his ear,
“My liege, the Guru is your enemy, if you have mercy on him now, people will think you are weak. You must make an example out of him. He has not converted to Islam nor performed a miracle as you told him. If you let him live, his life will be an insult to you."

GTB_Zeb_550.jpg

Aurangzeb became angry that the Guru would not convert or perform a miracle, "That heretic!! Take him and torture him until he submits!"
The Guru was tortured but he didn’t shake a single bit. In fact he looked happy, “Lord, your will is sweet to me.”
One of the Guru’s Sikhs was slowly and painfully tortured to death in front of the Guru’s eyes. But nothing could change Guru ji. All the Guru sees is the hand of God at work. His life was almost over, he was tortured and in chains, and even then he wrote divine poetry,
“Every moment not spent praising the Creator is a waste of time. Says Nanak, Oh my soul, love the One like a fish loves the water.”
A servant was sent to the Guru’s house with a message from the Guru,
“Tell my family, son and Sikhs to not worry for my life. These rulers became great from good actions in their past lives. They are destroying their legacy with their wrong actions now. If they spare my life, their empire will last long. But since the ruler has set himself to do bad deeds, this empire will start to crumble. My body will die soon. It’s not bad, we must all be happy with God’s plan.”
The servant returned to the Guru’s house and told them what the Guru said. He also showed them the Guru’s poetry. The young Gobind Rai read a line his father had written,
"My strength is gone, I am bound down, I can not do anything at all.
Says Nanak help me now One Creator, You are my only support.”
Gobind Rai smiled and composed his own version of this line,
"My strength has come, my bonds are broken, I can do everything.
Says Nanak, everything is in Your hands oh Creator, You alone can save me.”
The messenger returned and shared Gobind Rai’s poetry with Guru ji who was pleased with his son,
"Hahaha, my son.”
While the heavens were shifting the guruship from father to son, the emperor still tried his tricks.
“Tell the Guru, if he converts he will be given a very high position, he will be happy. If he doe not, he will DIE! This is FINAL!!"
But Guru ji was courageous,
"I will not give up. The threat of death does not scare me at all. I am ready to die happily.”
Aurangzeb issued the death penalty,
"Just kill him! Chop off his head!”
Guru ji showed us the meaning of courage,
“I will give my head, but I will not give up my faith!”

Guru ji bathed in a well nearby, he sat under a beautiful tree to meditate and he sang Jap ji,
"Ik Ongkar, Sat Nam, Karta Purkh, Nirbau, Nirvair, Akal Murat, Ajooni, Saibhang, GurPrasaad, Jap, Aad Sach, Jugaad Sach, Hai Bhi Sach, Nanak Hosi Bhi Sach..................."
Then he bowed to God and the swordsman severed his head from his shoulders. The Guru's life ended while a huge crowd sadly watched the scene. The people cried but the heavens cheered. Just as a rain drop merges in the ocean, his soul merged in the Heavens.

GTB_Sacrifice_550.jpg

Guru Teg Bahadur ji sacrificed his life to stand strong for everybody’s freedom. He saved many lives and inspired countless souls. Today, he inspires all of us to stand up for freedom!
Many more difficult times were ahead for all Muslims, Hindus and Sikhs who did not like the emperor. But this empire would not last much longer. The tenth Guru now sat on the throne of Baba Nanak, “One Sikh will take on more than a hundred thousand opponents!! On that day, take the name of GOBIND!”
In the name of Nanak may all people be in high spirits! May all beings be blessed by God’s Grace!
The Guru came to help all people reach to the highest. The time had now come for the sweet Sikhs... to take up the sword.
Guru Gobind Rai said,
“Now I will turn pigeons in to hawks!! ”

Guru Gobind Rai later called all his Sikhs together on one great historic day in human history: Vaisakhi day

The sources that I have posted are all from Sikhs themselves. Nothing to do with Hindus or BJP or Congress. :cheesy:
Many Muslims are hypocrites they say Isis is not Islamic while they love and glorify murderers and criminals like tipi,Mughals,Suris, ghoris, Delhi Sultanate and ghaznavides with ottomans and ummyads and Abbasids which Isis are bunch of rookies compared to them?!:cheesy:

Unfortunately, Muslims have failed Islam. The power hungry Umayyad's had massacred the entire family of Prophet Muhammad (saw). Hindus of subcontinent went and fought to protect the family of Prophet Muhammad (saw). Muslims of subcontinent were primarily sufis. Even the founders of Pakistan were not fanatics. Pakistan unfortunately took an ugly turn since Zia ul haq's rule in the 1980s.

Hussaini Brahmins and the tragedy of Karbala
Hussaini Brahmins are a great source of inspiration for all those who believe in plurality and unity in diversity, and also who wish to uphold the truth irrespective of colour, cast and creed

“For Lahore, like my elders, I will shed every drop of blood and give any donation asked for, just as my ancestors did when they laid down their lives at Karbala for Hazrat Imam Hussain.” Sunil Dutt

The tragedy of Karbala reminds us of a great sacrifice given by Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS), the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) alongside his kinsfolk and companions for the sake of Islam. He sacrificed everything what he had in terms of men and material only to uphold the dignity and veracity of Islam.

Yazid, the incarnation of evil, tyranny, hypocrisy, mendacity, and malfeasance wanted Imam Hussain (AS) to take a pledge of allegiance on his hand and thereby affirm his despotic and immoral style of governance. Imam Hussain (AS) rejected his coercive and illegitimate demand. Imam Hussain (AS) realised that his submission before Yazid would be tantamount to an endorsement of his autocratic and unjust government that was erected in utter contravention of the pristine and democratic principles of Islam.

Thus, the fierce battle between truth and falsehood ensued on 680 A.D. Imam Hussain (AS), the epitome of selflessness, intrepidity, courage and forbearance with his small contingent of faithful followers faced the storm of tyrant forces valiantly. Nearly, all of the members of Imam’s (AS) household and companions were martyred one by one even six years old infant Hazrat Ali Asghar was not spared, and was decapitated ruthlessly.

Accounts reveal that seven brave Brahmin warriors from Lahore died while fighting for Imam Hussain (AS) in the battle of Karbala. According to one account, their father Rahab Dutt, an old man who traded with Arabia in those days, had promised the Holy Prophet (SAW) to stand by his grandson in his fight to uphold the truth.

It is said that when Rahab Dutt found out that enemies had surrounded Imam Hussain (AS) and his family in Karbala, and wanted to spill the blood of innocents; he along with his seven sons reached to help him. His seven sons laid down their lives for the sake of Imam Hussain (AS) in the battle of Karbala

Another account suggests that a childless Rahab Dutt personally visited Imam Hussain (AS) and wished in front of him to be blessed with a child. In response to his desire, he was informed that he had no child in his fate. Hearing that he wept bitterly and became senseless. At this moment, Imam Hussain prayed to Allah to bless him with children. It is said that when Rahab Dutt found out that enemies had surrounded Imam Hussain (AS) and his family in Karbala and wanted to spill the blood of innocents, he along with his seven sons reached to help him. His seven sons laid down their lives for the sake of Imam Hussain (AS) in the battle of Karbala.

After the battle, Rahab Dutt met one of the family members of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and narrated the whole story. According to Vipin Mohan, who claims to be a Hussaini Brahmin, “The family member of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) told our ancestor Rahab Singh Dutt that from now you are not just Brahmins, but Hussaini Brahmins, we will always remember you”.

The martyr’s list at Qum verifies the claim advanced by these mohyal Brahmins. Moreover, it is also recorded in history that when the third thrust by Yazid’s forces came, the Dutt Brothers refused to let them pass. The seven Punjabi swordsmen stood their ground till they were felled by hundreds of horsemen..

Today, they are popularly known as Hussaini Brahmins, who were inhabitants of Lahore till 1947. However, after partition most of them settled in India. The famous Indian celebrities Sunil Dutt and his son Sanjay Dutt are Hussaini Brahmins. This fact was revealed by Sunil Dutt while making a donation to Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital. The hospital’s archive maintains the record of his following words: “For Lahore, like my elders, I shall shed every drop of blood and give any donation asked for, just as my ancestors did when they laid down their lives at Karbala for Imam Hussain (AS)”.

Moreover, Intizar Hussain also wrote a column captioned as “Brahmins in Karbala” on Hussaini Brahmins in which he mentioned his encounter with a Hussaini Brahmin woman in India. He wrote that while he was talking about Prem Chand’s play “Karbala”, which was based on the legend of the seven Hindu Brothers who had somehow reached Karbala and fought for the cause of Imam Hussain (AS); when he mentioned that Hussaini Brahmins seem to have vanished from the social scene in India; all, a woman stood up and challenged his statement claiming that her name was Nonica Dutt and she belonged to the Hussaini Brahmin family.

Nonica Dutt was a professor of history at Jawaharlal Nehru University. Intizar Hussain shared his conversation with Nonica Dutt in which she highlighted how her ancestor Rahab Dutt had sacrificed all of his seven sons in the battle of Karbala. He was the only survivor of the battle who went from Kufa to Afghanistan and from there back to India. He had brought with him a hair of Imam Hussain (AS) which is ensconced in the Hazratbal shrine in Kashmir. She further added an interesting and amazing fact about the Hussaini Brahmins; she said that all direct descendants of Rahab Dutt are born with a light slash mark on their throat, a sort of symbol of their sacrifice for Imam Hussain (AS) in Karbala. She also explained the ritual carried out in her family on the birth of every child. She said that, “Among Brahmins, after the child’s birth, the ritual of mundan is performed which is held in the name of Imam Hussain (AS)”.

Additionally, the presence of Brahmins in Karbala was also authenticated by the noted Shia cleric Allama Hassan Zafar Naqvi. In an interview, he validated the claim propounded by the Mohyal community of Brahmins saying that there are plenty of historical evidences that verify the Brahmins participation in the battle of Karbala.

To cap it all, the Hussaini Brahmins are a great source of inspiration for all those who believe in plurality and unity in diversity, and also who wish to uphold the truth irrespective of colour, cast and creed.

We should post contemporary documentation hate literature as well of that sikh terrorist tara singh what he did during partition to justify rape and butchering of Muslim women, children from just 70 years back not 400 or 500 years. What about firmans, activities of RSS during Delhi and Jammu massacre in 1947 and 48 Or we can also post documentary evidence and pictures of burnt babies during Godhra mass murder from 2002. Tumhari auqaat nahi hai aisi that we keep relations with you.

BTW in case you don't know. They were Hindus who were burnt alive by Muslim mobs at Godhra Station in 2002.

Muslim rioters had blocked doors and emergency exit with barbed wire and used molotive cocktail to set the coaches on fire. Godhra massacre by Muslims led to the outbreak of Hindu Muslim riots of 2002.
If you are talking about 1947-48 you should also remember about massacre of Sikhs and Hindus in Kolkata and Lahore and massacre of Hindus by an army of 200000 Razakars in Hyderabad.
