Agree... PMLN and PPP didn't do much to tackle oil smuggling but neither Imran Khan, infact orders from Imran Khan were local production should be stopped, while oil smugglers continue to feed national demand.

Fact remains... previous arrangements were made in history with different market and political conditions back home, due to shortage of gas.

What makes this deal politically interesting is that PTI was against import of LNG, while Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, who lead import of LNG is on record saying that Pakistan have no other solution than LNG.

PTI also criticized long term contract and LNG terminal construction, we have seen them taking U turn on both.

Any further info on whose port charges are these at, Qatar or Pakistan? I am guessing he's referring to Port charges in Pakistan, Qatar sharing a portion of that seems too good to be true. Anyway, the deal is excellent for Pakistan.
