Karachi: Pakistan will release 315 Indian fishermen, including 23 juvenile prisoners lodged in Karachi jails on June 27. The juvenile prisoners are lodged in Youthful Offenders School adjacent to Karachi Central Jail while others are kept in District Jail Malir. After the release of 315 prisoners, the number of Indian prisoners in Malir jail would be 123, official jail sources said on Monday. The Indian prisoners would be released at 08:00am on Wednesday (tomorrow) and sent to Wagha border from where they would be handed over to Indian authorities. Sindh Law Minister Ayaz Soomro had also announced recently at a function at Youthful Offenders School that Indian prisoners, including juveniles would be sent back home. He had expected that India would reciprocate and release Pakistani fishermen. ppi
