High temperature is expected to
continue over Pakistan. During
last 24 hours, cities of Pakistan
including Benzirabad recorded
46°C and Paden and Dadu
recorded 45°C. Western
disturbance is affecting northern
parts of Pakistan particularly Azad Kashmir
and North West frontier province.
Scattered light to moderate
rainfall has occurred in most
provinces of Pakistan. Parachinar
recorded rain showers at 50 mm,
Kalat with 11 mm, Mirkhani at 7
mm, Drosh recorded 5 mm, Gilgit
with 5 mm and Bagrote and
Astore 4 mm each.
This western disturbance is
expected to move in north east
direction but will continue to be
scattered as rain thundershowers
over northern parts of Pakistan
for another 24 to 48 hrs. Central
and southern parts of the country
such as Punjab, Balochistan and
Sindh will continue with dry and
hot weather. While temperature
over southern parts of Balochistan
will remain in mid-40’s. Hilly
regions may experience pleasant
weather.
Heatwave condition is expected to
continue over the area. As no
significant western disturbance is
expected to approach northern
parts of Pakistan so we expect
after 48 hours weather will go dry
over most parts of the country.
Hence it is expected that Ramadan
will be a difficult phase for the
country.
