Got to get out of Afghanistan some how. USA will continue to require Pakistani airspace long after this for access to hit Al-Qaeda types. Better for Pakistan to continue counter terror cooperation.

Al Qaeda is finished so the US needs to move on. They should give Pakistan the means to defeat the terrorists. We need drones, Apaches, cruise missiles, B52s, MOBs , ARAAMS, F35s etc

Are you trolling. Pakistan has to stick with Chinese, Russian or MENA sourced weapons.

The old AQ is dead but NDS and RAW can easily use ISIS-K or some other terror faction to launch a false flag as AQ. We must hedge against this by continuing to work with USA from counter terror perspective.

But the US themselves said AQ is defeated and not a threat any more. NDS and ISIS-K is a ISI problem and I am sure they can deal with it. US didn't achieve anything in the last 20 years so pointless in having them around in the region.

ground access mean Pakistan still has not closed ground logistic routes .... it does not mean we are providing base to Americans ....

In fact as per other media reports Pakistan and US relationship has gone sore due to refusal of Pakistan to provide any base in Pakistan ....

Reportedly Biden Administration was not just seeking military base in Baluchistan but same level of access and free hand in their operations as they were used to enjoy during Musharaf era ....
