News clearly says "Initial order of 8 JF-17s". Looks like after induction, they would go for more. 16 is a minimal number.

An excellent development if true, but given past erroneous reporting by the Pakistani media on defence issues, I would suggest waiting for some sort of official confirmation - hopefully the media did not misinterpret the "8 MOU's on economy, defence and security' as '8 JF-17 fighter jets'.

Great news. Pakistan one of the few countries who will export fighter jets. Extremely proud . On another note the thing that our government should also try is easing visa restrictions for its citizens with other countries. Our government never seems to work on this.

This is just awesome news. The JF-17 is a perfect match for Sri Lanka. It offers just about everyhting they require and even more. Expect the numbers to go up. This news won't have many supporters in India. Especially given that they have been trying hard to derail it from day one. Good news for China and Pakistan.
