Pakistan seeks Chinese cooperation in animation industry

NANJING (China): Federal Minister for Culture Pir Aftab Shah Jilani visited a number of Chinas leading computer animation concerns at the Nanjing Software Park in the citys High Technology Zone here Wednesday.
He was given detailed briefing on the rapid development of animation and online gaming industry in China. The minister was told that with the tremendous growth in television, computer and mobile phone users there is an increased market for virtual goods transaction as well as implanted advertising.
An amount of RMB 105 million is being spent annually for refining the planning and supplementary policies of cultural and creative industry, the minister was informed. The Minister said that Pakistan is interested in learning from Chinese companies and having their cooperation in developing software for the new media of the post-modern generation.
Later, the Minister visited the Jiangsu Arts and Crafts Museum. Secretary General of China Arts and Crafts Association, Wang Shan gave a briefing on promoting the development of products and industries based on intangible cultural heritage and special arts and crafts.
The Executive Director of Lok Virsa Khalid Javed was also present on the occasion.
