What it states in report is that there 150 locomotives on order from US and first 50 are arriving soon. All the 50 engines will be used for hauling goods.

Dont know how authentic this report is. No link and new previous news of such an order placed with US.

Why we are not producing the engines which we gained license from Germany and with some design modification which can be done locally we can make them even better also build carriages and Frieght boggies as well.

I think they can buy from India..we do make very good locomotive engine and should be quite cheaper than western engine

Generally US made products are linked with higher quality... Pakistan being a close ally will get subsidized price and discounted shipping. So it might be a very good move

Dude...If Indian Gov foreign policy can be decided by the protest of Indian member in pdf....then Indian could be a different country what we see today....

On topic there must be some tangible or intangible beneifit for which Pak went for USA without ordering from China...
