Pakistan is hoping to lean on skills and experience garnered from assembling jet trainers and combat aircraft in a bid to attract international aerospace companies to invest. Islamabad is pouring money into the creation of its first aerospace cluster, the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park (NASTP), part of its future vision to create an Aviation City around Kamra, home to the country’s aerospace efforts.

Much needed, if there's one thing Pakistan has institutionally been good at, it is the field of Physics : )

.
Great idea, but we need to invest more in our local talent and technology.
Investing is already being done , Pakistan simply cant afford through money
Need sensable approach to shoe international players , Pakistan has the capability , human resource, decent manufacturing capabilities at much cheaper rate and there product will be secure from leakage

Even $150 million grant a year to universities to fund research and attract talent in the fields of science, engineering and mathematics will go a long way. It will involve money but the amount we are talking about is not something extraordinary.

The Problem is not as one dimensional , Pakistan needs to attract young minds towards Science itself ,
Majority of younger generation thinks that its better to spend money go abroad and work low end jobs instead of working in Pakistan as they know they wont get any oppertunities itself

Than Pakistan needs to reinvest in whole education as whole , in mean time need to create a sector which offer jobs to these People.
PAF is doing a great job as its building infrasturtcure which can offers jobs as well building instituations which can build these people

one without other wont help Pakistan as even if Pakistan doesnt have the capacity to use these people will simply lose them to other countries and if they create work but dont have trained people than will have to hire contract from other countries and will be much more expensive

These are valid points. My post was in regards to the claim that Pakistan simply can’t afford helping STEM research. I agree with the points you have raised.

What they (young Pakistanis) realise is that it is always greener on the other side of the pond. It's all swings and round abouts they have to sacrifice something (family, values, religion, friends, safety, loss of roots, corruption of children etc etc) for dollars/pounds etc
