It is very obvious that Social media has got utmost importance in domestic politcs of every country n in domestic politcs of the world. It can enhance Political career of leaders n can reduce Political life of a govt authority. In this context, Pakistan is one of the country which has given voice 2 its silent majority through the Social media like FB n Twitter but what v will limit the discussion about is Twitter mainly which even has initiated trends n celebrities which captured headlines in mainstream media as well.

Imran khan- A Twitter PM

Perhaps it is only Imran khan who can b classified as a only political leader who was a PM of Pakistan on Twitter b4 formally becoming the 21st pm of pakistan. It was his Political prudence or was just a Political fluke that he chose this platform 2 fight its Political wars. He tweets a single tweet n gets thousands of likes, share n comments wdin seconds. He was become so much popular there that it can b easily said that other Political parties have started 2 copy him by just hiring paid-teams of their followers 2 counter him. He was so much successful that even Institutions like army, foreign office etc have started 2 run n putt across their statements, policies through this new political tool. He was so much successful that no other leader is able 2 reach closer 2 its followership. So v can easily give credit Imran khan 4 the popularity n 4 the opening of political window of opportunities through Twitter...

Twitter impact on social media.

As comes wd every round of popularity, the impact of SM especially Twitter is so much grave that even sometimes mainstream media finds it unable 2 compete wd this. Twitter has become the source of mainstream media's feed. Its trends make headlines, grab time in news bulletin n forces 2 mainstream media 2 smooth the public opinion according 2 its wishlist. V can say that every main story which had profound implications n Political n Economical ramifications just made way through the window of Twitter 2 the screen of MM(mainstream media) 2 the minds of innocent n gullible public. Twitter's importance can b gauged easily by understanding that if a particular journalist can't get its opinion aired through MM then he comes 2 here 2 rant the policies of management of their channel like Talat Hussain. So bcz of its independence of from regulations, public n Political chains, its utmost accessibility 2wards Political, ideological n aspiring figures at any time, its characteristics of hiding identities, its accessibility 2wards minds of somewhat sensible public n most importantly its anywhere anytime keep-in-touch factor have made it the unsurmountable peak of competition in the near future.

What Pakistan should learn

Pakistan has 44m users of SM which is very big number n a very bigger part of population. V don't know how much ppl here have very understanding of the modren warfare tactics. V don't know how teams wd motivated-goals r gonna react here but 1 thing is certain that what happens here had, have n will have a huge impact on our policies, thinking, public opinion n especially the very fabric of Pakistan's unity. So what v need 2 learn here that a very informal but formal way of limitations should b drawn over such platforms so that such an important venture continue 2 exist in the yaers 2 come n help pakistan 2 learn the importance of free speech.
In the end just 2 screenshot r presented 2 show how this platform is wrongly used....

Ur opinions r highly welcomed.

Well international pressure only works for the right thing or for good deeds.. What really matters on social media is that the concern of Nation. NS no longer concern of the nation now. NS can be freed from Pakistani courts only if he provides the money trial.

Pakistan doesn't owe anything to twitter.

Imran holds a following of 9 Million on twitter which includes his fans from round the globe due to his cricketing years, his philanthropic work and his political career. Musharraf on the other hand has only his political and army career, yet he has following of 2 million. Musharraf close allies have been trying to pump him up that he has big following in Pakistan, but there is a reason why is he reluctant to come in Pakistan because in reality support on twitter doesn't translate into support on the ground.

Pakistan's total population is 200 million, even if I take it as a typo and make it 44 million. That number is still questionable, every one's reason for being on social media is different. One can not make improper assumptions like these that every one is so hyped about politics and everything related to politics.

My friend, gist of the idea was how sm is shaping opinions of public through the window of mm.
I agree 2 some extent that following on SM doesn't translate into Power on the grounds but i m definitely sure about this that a huge following over such platform can make opinions like in IK's case. The basic premise is that IK has helped in promoting in Twitter,no matter how much he got followingbut a type of following does matter. If he has following of a persons who have huge following on MM so how they r not gonna promote him? Same has happened here..

N thanks 4 the correction..

We dont owe anything to twitter...It is a platform/ service for use...If the user doesnt use it then it isnt a service provided...If user uses it, you dont owe it anything!

You only owe something to someone when you are in debt of some good it has given you voluntarily without any advantages to itself....Twitter profits with many users and followers ....IK uses the service coz it is there as a service to be used!

The PDF and its members are giving and receiving support to & from each other.

Should they be grateful to each other or should they show middle finger to each other and tell them to FO

Being grateful doesnt always mean you owe the person....

. .
Rather Twitter should be happy that it's not blocked in 6th largest nation of world and have huge access there.

.
May be IK should be grateful to twitter.
For what?

If it wasnt twitter some other platform would have given its service...Never heard such platforms being pity enough to say you owe me for using my services

then may be he should br greatful to that platform which might have helped him to achieve his ambition of becoming PM. Now he has a chance to serve his country. In fact he should be grateful to everybody who helped him for whatever reasons.

Correction

Indians owe nothing to pakistan

Members using this PDF should be grateful to it for providing this platform to them free of cost and PDF should be thankful to its members for using it and making it earn ad revenues and brand value :-)

E-mail lists are much better than SM. at least we don't need to make the SM sites frightened by our messages hoping to make them send our message to all our friends...
