Rana Tanveer Hussain, Federal Minister of Defence Production who is in (Baku) Azerbaijan, to attend ADEX-2016, had a meeting with General Elchin Guliyv Chief of state border services Azerbaijan. Issues of mutual interest were discussed. Matters related to state boarder security also came under discussion. Both sides desired to share their expertise with each other. Federal Minister for Defence Production talked about the possibilities of provision of small arms and ammunition to Azerbaijan. He emphasized on the need for signing of MoU between the two countries in order to train the state border forces in Pakistani training institutions. Minister also offered the provision of Super Mushshak and JF-17 to Azerbaijan.




In another meeting with Mr. Ramil USUBOV Minister of Internal Affairs of Azerbiajan. Issues of mutual interest were discussed. Minister for Defence Production loudly explained the Kashmir situation and highlighted the ongoing Indian atrocities in Kashmir. He said that intolerance is growing towards the minorities in India. Hundreds of innocent people have been injured by Indian Army by firing pellet. He requested to raise the voice for Kashmiris at International forums. He urged the international community to stop India from committing violence in Kashmir where entire population is barricaded inside their homes.

Rana Tanveer Hussain, Federal Minister of Defence Production is in (Baku) Azerbaijan, to attend ADEX-2016, had a meeting with Turkish Minister of National Defence Mr. Fikri Isik. He also met with Mr. Yaqub Ayyubov, Deputy Prime Miister of Azerbaijanan Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Elmar Mammedyarov of Azerbaijan. Minister thanked to Azri authorities for invitation and hospitality they extended during his stay..

During his meetings Rana Tanveer Hussain, Federal Minister for Defence Production also discussed the avenues and possibilities of cooperation in production of Defence products. The Minister specially mentioned Super Mushshak and JF-17 for sale. During the exhibition, Minister for Defence Production visited different stalls and discussed the possibilities of joint production.

President of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev also visited stall of Pakistan Aeronautical Complex. He was briefed about the JF-17 Thunder fighter and Super Mushshak. He took keen interest in the Pakistani products.

My remark of Israeli subsystems was sarcasm... but yes an aircraft can be sold in a striped version delivered by transport.

Elbit, Elta, IAI will still have to structure their systems into the JF-17. The cost analysis doesn't fit for a dozen or so jets. Neither would Israel share their advanced tech directly with Pakistan pissing off India.

But Azerbaijan has spent billions developing a training program for MiGs, which it scrapped together from a variety of sources and attempted to standardized, not to mention bringing them up to flight worthy standard it's still in progress. For Azerbaijan to integrate a new platform is asking too much. The Russian Radar base does keep it in it's sphere of influence they wouldn't take kindly to losing out on potential sales of MiGs or SUs.

Pakistan can't because the US hasn't given them permission. Israel and the Turks have modified their F-16s with domestic systems.

I disagree. Isreali companies are enablers of business opportunities as they see fit and are not bound by any alliances e.g. China vs US. I have working experience in this particular rhelm hence this statement.

I honestly don't think Pakistan would give a care in the world if Israel is chosen by Azerbaijan to configure and equip its JF-17s (assuming it buys them in the first place). China might care about losing subsystem and munitions opportunities.

that would imply transfer of technology to azerbaijan and israel to accomplish it
